Shout! Factory new "Movies 4 You" Includes The House that Screamed.

http://www.dvddrive-in.com/

"Shout! Factory and Timeless Media have just announced another “Movies 4 You: Horror” DVD featuring AIP horror classics (and one from United Artists) from the MGM library. The set will include THE BAT PEOPLE, THE VAMPIRE (both previously available on MGM Midnite Movies sets), THE SCREAMING SKULL and THE HOUSE THAT SCREAMED. Of most interest to fans will no doubt be the inclusion of THE HOUSE THAT SCREAMED (as this will be the first “authorized” DVD release of this title in the US) though we don’t know which cut of the film it will be and whether or not it will be in its proper 2.35:1 aspect ratio. We can tell you that THE SCREAMING SKULL should look much better than all the other budget PD versions out there. Hopefully some of the titles here, especially HOUSE, are being prepped for a Blu-ray release. This single “Movies 4 You” disc retails for well under $10 and has a street date of March 25, 2014."

Seeing that they didn't go all out with a nice blu ray release most likely means the elements arn't available.
But lets hope it's somewhat of a good print.

House That Screamed is a snooze fest but enjoyable. Will be interesting to see how the transfer shapes up. Might be worth a purchase if the price is right I'll buy.

I've bought every one of these multi-film sets but I'll be limiting future purchases until I read reviews. I don't buy these things because of the low prices, I buy them because I want these movies in my collection. But I don't want them cut up, washed out and in fullscreen. If we're going to get into a time machine, I want to go forward, not backwards.

I wonder if it's the same print as their Elvira disk.

The House That Screamed has apparently been dropped from this release and replaced with The Vampire Lovers.

I'm hoping this means maybe they listened to folks' complaints, putting some work into it for a standalone release, but I doubt it...

That sucks. That was the only reason to buy this. I already own 3 out of the 4.
