Actually a terrifying trailer. For the reboot, they nailed down the tone and atmosphere perfectly -- unlike the craptastic Emmerich '98 disaster.

That was one awesome trailer

I wonder if it's set in the same universe as the original film, as they mention the creation of Godzilla in 1954.
As a fan of the series, I'm glad they are sticking to the same origin story, and don't make him come from outer space. And the look seems to be dead on as well.

Kinda hope that this will kickstart a new wave of Japanese Gojira films as well

My hopes are high but my expectations are low. This is looking really good. Unfortunately so did the '98 trailer. At least we know this one is keeping quite faithful to the look of the Japanese Godzilla.

Trailer looks good. I'm there opening weekend.

Was it just me or was there 2 other monsters besides Godzilla in that new trailer.

Like Rodan and some spider like creature.

At 1:25 & 1:56 that's gotta be Rodan

At 2:00 that's some other monster.

I haven't been this excited for a summer blockbuster film since Batman Begins. This looks phenomenal. I might have to try and see this one at the IMAX.

I am going to go see it - heck I saw the 1998 one when it came out - I can't be THAT disappointed again.....

i'm sold on this, but i actually liked the teaser trailer better, with all the skydivers. this seems a bit closer to the '98 version than I expected. but yeah, still excited for it.

Trailer looks good but - well, it looks good. Glad there was no lens flare. I like a good thriller and I'm glad this doesn't look as goofy as the '98 flick but I'm also hoping it doesn't take itself too seriously, you know?
