BLACK DEVIL DOLL FROM HELL (1984) / QUADEAD ZONE (1987) from Massacre Video 11/12

It's time to break out that Casio, 'cause Massacre Video is bringing Chester N. Turner's BLACK DEVIL DOLL FROM HELL (1984) to DVD! Frumpy churchgoer Helen stops by the Road's End antique shop only to find herself supernaturally drawn towards a dreadlocked ventriloquist's dummy. Despite vague warnings from the storekeep, she takes the puppet home, only to be attacked, tied up and, uh... violently dryhumped by the doll, who promptly vomits smoke, laughs, then splits. Her bible-thumping days now over, Helen wanders the streets, searching for new satisfactions, but nothing can satiate her needs like the dummy. Her spiral into depravity continues...

Holy hell. The most notorious of all '80s homegrown horrors, BLACK DEVIL DOLL FROM HELL is amateurish, insane, and possibly the most ridiculous thing you'll ever see. It's a beacon of bad taste, and the fact that it's getting a legit, double-disc special edition is jawdropping. Pulled right from the director's master tape, Massacre are also including a commentary with Turner and starlet Shirley Jones, the alternate Hollywood Home Theater VHS release edit, a rare photo gallery, and, best of all, Chester's impossible to find follow-up, TALES FROM THE QUADEAD ZONE (1987)! Another legendary SOV brain-bender, this anthology outing tells three eerie stories about as well as you would expect. QUADEAD also gets its own documentary featurette! A seriously essential release for trash fans, and a shoo-in for my Top Ten of 2013 list.

DVD Preorder now up at Amazon for (11/12). Direct link available at my Upcoming Releases list:

A mind-melting clip!

The Chester Turner films are also available.
Looks like they have their VHS's and hardbox DVD's (not much left of either) but not the regular DVD. Hopefully they'll have the regular DVD up soon as I like to buy direct when I can.
