If you're embarrassed to own Jaws 3, Amityville sequels, etc, then I hope you never see my collection.
To be honest though, I'm less ashamed of owning films like Jack-O, The Last Slumber Party, or Evil Toons than I would be owning something like The Green Lantern, The Avengers, Twilight, or whatever other multi-million dollar blockbuster is popular right now. |

I try to limit the number of blu-ray's that I blind-buy. That keeps the number of bad movies (my opinion) down. The only blu-ray's I've gotten rid of because I didn't care for them were "Machete" and "My Bloody Valentine (the remake)." So far so good.

Like most of you have already said, I don't care what other people think of my cinematic tastes. I don't even bother trying to explain to people why I like the films I like--if they have to ask, they'll never know.
Having said that, I decided to look through my collection and did find a few so-called classics that are a little embarrassing...DANCES WITH WOLVES and ON GOLDEN POND spring to mind. I don't really dislike them, but they aren't titles that I can really imagine watching again.

I don't sweat it at all. Some films that got trashed by critics a genuinely like while some that are wildly detested I own because I find them amusing.I own JAWS :THE REVENGE for God's sake. Why ? Because I find the ROARING shark at the end to be hilarious.I've got Brando's DR. MOREAU because I find it to be a fascinating disaster, there's something mesmerizing about it,it's almost better that it's "bad''.
I'm not ashamed of any film I own,no point. |

For me, I'd say it depends. I've done a few blind buys based on recommendations from "friends", such as "G.I. Joe" and "Hitch" that I am not exactly proud of.
But, I also proudly hold "Hudson Hawk" as one of my favorite films. As others have said, I think it's that difference difference between truly "bad" and mediocre, lazy, or inept. I have little tolerance for any of the latter. I've never been able to watch a film "ironically." But, there are some "bad" films that are simply fascinating failures, "Southland Tales" and "Speed Racer" come to mind, that I do truly love and hold up high. For those films there is some singular magic behind them and I have no shame whatsoever in owning them or even forcing my friends to watch them. |

I was fairly embarrassed once when some friends decided to unpack me after I moved (I had gone to return the truck). They (particularly the women) were rather appalled at the copy of Emanuelle and Violence against Women that I had... It wound up being easier to not try to explain it, and just let them forget.
As much as I enjoy the crazy erotic movies, they are much harder to explain than the crazy violent ones. |

I enjoy that one. A definite guilty pleasure. I think it gets shit on, cause of all the behind-the-scenes drama and Stanley "leaving" the movie. I was expecting worse!

I think the only movie in my collection that I am truly embarrassed about having would be Once Upon A Mattress. |

I'm ashamed of nothing, not even my porn collection cuz I got some great shit in there!
I also have Michael Bay movies sitting right along side my low budget horror. Sometimes I like big dumb fun and need it, Bay delivers. |

Embarrassed? No. I own plenty of "bad" movies, and I show them off with pride. However, I don't own any bad movies.
