I guess now we can see Aguirre as more of an autobiography for Klaus Kinski. Unsurprising news, for sure, but still devastating when you imagine what his daughter (and family) went through and that he never had to deal with any punishment for his actions. It's another case, like with Polanski, or to a lesser extent Lindsey Lohan, etc. where movie stars are above the law.

Kinski certainly makes any film better (much like the Nick Cage rule) and I do enjoy watching him. That doesn't change what he's done off screen.
