I agree. I only every Jason flick except Jason X. I don't like that movie at all. It tried to be a horror comedy/ spoof, but wasn't funny, it has no budget, bad acting, lame setting, super lame metal Jason. The only thing it has going for it is a few okay kills.

I love Jason X and would gladly upgrade to a BD. It's funny and has great kills. The idea of a 10th film in the series is absurd enough to warrant them going completely over-the-top with the setting and Jason's design. Jason killing camp counselors out in the woods had been "done to death" by that point. I wish they would have done a sequel to Jason X that took place immediately following.
If you don't like Jason X perhaps you are taking the franchise a bit to seriously. |

I've ripped most of my DVD's to a hard drive and sold them, but when I did have them, I was a proud owner of Jason X and would gladly buy it on blu-ray.

Speaking of Friday the 13th, Paramount just announced a new boxset of the 8 DVD special editions due out on 10/4. Each boxset is individually numbered (out of 50,000 units) and includes a replica mask and 8 page booklet. If only it were a Blu-Ray set ...

I'll believe there's a Blu-Ray release for 4-8 on the way when I see something official, Paramount are up there with the worst Studios for releasing back catalogue titles, They're sat on the proverbial goldmine with these Movies and keep churning out the same shit on an outdated format

As much as I want to believe this I am a bit skeptical. I do hope it happens though. Maybe we'll get a nice bluray box set.
