Yeah, Warner Bro's found out Ryko, whom they own, was distributing hard core pornography. They went ape when a news paper brought it to light.

So they've been clamping down on content ever since. It's funny that such a low profile release is what got Ryko in trouble.

Unfortunately, that's just not true. ALL dvd releases of the film contain the exact same version, the R-rated one.

It would probably be possible to put the deleted scenes from the Us region 1 dvd back into the film to make a custom composite, but there might be a problem with missing sound / sound continuity,

Thanks for the link, I also had heard that the overseas version was uncut--glad I didn't buy one, 'cause I'd be PISSED.

its been online for a while, and it is awful! very cheap, horrid acting, the killer however is effective and scary. it's also WAAAAY gorier than toolbox, however nowhere near as good.

That's a shame. Well I'll be checking it out nonetheless. Thanks for letting us know it's already online

Watching this now. The colour palette sucks. I hate it when film use those bland colours that make it seem almost as though the film is in black and white. Apart from that and looking a little armature it isn't too bad.

Ok, finished watching it this morning and can safely say it was shit. They spent way too much time with the killer that it felt like a reality tv show about his life. It also meant that there were no scares because he was always there. They also fall into the trap where they think gore is a scare tactic, but you hardly care when it's happening to random people that have nothing to do with the story.

Also, the film has nothing to do with The Toolbox Murders apart from the killer looking the same. Glad this is called Coffin Baby, it should be put to rest.

Just thought I'd clear this up.
Coffin Baby is _not_ The Toolbox Murders 2, it started out as TBK2 but due to rights issues they had to reshoot a lot of scenes and change it enough to not make it seem like a sequel to TBK - the two versions are very different. The original TBK2 version was for sale on Amazon for like a week before it was pulled, luckily I managed to grab myself a copy.

This.

I figured as much with the re-shoots. Wasn't Jeffrey Combs meant to be in this?
