Friday the 13th Parts 2 & 3 BDs, Parts 4-6 Deluxe DVDs June 16th

From Dvdtimes. Looks like Parts 4 and 6 will have deleted footage as extras. No word if Part 3 on BD will include the 3D version, but it seems to have the extras that were included on the UK disc, and were missing from the R1 dvd. Still, I'm gonna wait for the full BD boxset at the end of the year.

On 16th June 2009 Paramount Home Entertainment will release Friday the 13th Parts 2 & 3 on US Blu-ray Disc alongside new Deluxe Editions of Parts 4, 5 & 6 on Region 1 DVD. The Blu-rays feature all of the extras from the recent Deluxe Edition DVDs of Parts 2 and 3, while the new Deluxe Edition DVDs of Parts 4-6 boast all-new extra features.

pretty fantastic. i'm also gonna wait all this out till they're all available in a blu box. but if they're not gonna include all the extras from the crystal lake to manhattan box then I guess I'll never be able to get rid of it...thats kinda disappointing.

So even with the extra space on the bluray they couldn't put the commentary and 3-d version on for Part 3? Lame! Glad I aready have the imports.
Hopefully Paramount UK will skip the waiting game and put 4-6 out on bluray at the same time like 2 & 3!

Don't really see anything that will grab me to buy these. Already have the DVD Box set, and the new features are not enough for me to double dip. If they were all uncut, then, maybe I would double dip.

I'll bite even though I'd love to just have one copy instead of the boxed set and these new rereleases, ugh, I hate being a Jason completist.

I can't really grasp how they can pick n' choose which movies will have deleted footage and which will not. 4 has it, 5 doesn't, 6 does. Okie dokie. Anyways, I think I'm holding out until they make the 2nd boxset so I can just get all of the deluxe editions in one swoop.

Anyway I'll always be snatching up the new Deluxe Edition's of Parts IV, V and VI. Can't wait to listen to the commentary tracks as I'm a big time commentary track fanatic for many reasons. Plus to enjoy the new HD-transfers on my up-converter wireless home theatre player, and the new sound mixes for us home theatre owners, ect.

Cool stuff. Can't wait to hear the director and some of the cast & crewmen to finally talk at length, as in feature leangth (the full running time of the films) about they're old projects (the Friday films) they worked on decades ago now.

I just heard from a pretty good source that Part 3 Blu-ray will be in 3D with glasses included.

Agreed, just laziness on their parts. Now I have to have two box sets for this franchise. And yet they include two commentaries for part 4, including a lame fan commentary.
