Friday the 13th Parts 2 and 3 coming to blu in July!

Glad I held off buying the DVDs (and the UK blu-rays) because Paramount's just announced the blu-ray releases of Friday the 13th, Part 2 and Friday the 13th, Part 3 for July. Extras have yet to be confirmed. But it's actually happening. (Paramount's been announcing catalog titles left, right and fucking center. Seems like they're really pushing blu-ray.)

That's awesome, i guess it's just a matter of time before most stuff is available on blu-ray. I'd like to see titles that aren't on the bigger studio's released on blu-ray as well. Gladiator will be awesome to have on blu-ray!!!

yeah, glad i waited too. and i know that releases of 4 and 5 are in the works too, so it only makes sense that blu rays of those would follow. i still haven't picked up the first on blu, and i may hold out longer. hopefully a blu ray box set will be released eventually.

wonder if the releases will differ from their european conterparts?

guess time will show , but I am hopefull they won't be different

the only thing is the the region 2 release of part 3 didn't have the 3D version i believe

Sweet news, but I'll wait until we have definitive news on the blu-ray box set before I spring for these. Hopefully that will be before these are released.

Probably not. Most Paramount Blu-rays have the exact same content in different regions. I grabbed the UK Blu's of Part 2 and 3 for under $20 each shipped, and I'm loving them.

it has a listing for friday the 13th part 2 and 3 blu-ray release dates on 6/9/09

also has listings for parts4,5,6 deluxe edition dvds coming 6/9/09 as well

If it's the same transfer as the UK Blu-ray, which it should be, it looks amazing.

Hey, did anyone else notice that they have Parts V and VI listed as "Not Rated"? Uncut perhaps??
