Who Saw Her Die? is a giallo where the killer murders children. Although the most impactful death occurs off-screen it's affecting because you've spent a lot of time with the character.

If a 15-year-old teenager counts the opening kill in Phenomena is a humdinger.

Geez, I forgot about this thread. I think my favorite is definitely Assault on Precinct 13, but who can forget the final shot in The Bad Seed? That came out of nowhere and totally caught me off guard. Recently watched The Children and LOVED it! Chock full o' kid killings!

I used to have no problem with them, actually enjoyed them once in a while
It became very different when I became a father though. Now I simply cannot stomach them. The movie that uses such a "device" has to be REALLY serious now.

Anyone watch Chinese films? Run and Kill features a child getting burnt to death by a psycho. Later her father comes across her charred body. I won't spoil anything beyond that for those that may wish to see it.

I came into this thread to mention that. The kid and the dog! I'm thankful they didn't show it.

It's been exactly a year since the last post and interestingly enough I saw two films today that featured kids being killed. The first is a Chinese film called Reign of Assassins with Michelle Yeoh. The second was Silip from Mondo Macabro.

GODSEND from 1980, and if sci-f1 counts, EVE OF DESTRUCTION has a dead kid from one of the carnage that the crying mother was holding, and HIGHLANDER 2 has a baby flying head first onto a wall in a runaway train.

The prologue in Lars Von Trier's Antichrist contains
Spoiler:
a child falling to it's death from a second floor window in extreme slow motion.
It's probably the most (disturbingly) beautiful shot of a child's death on film.

I may remember it wrong, but didn't a mother put a hot iron on a baby in Omen III?

Also, while it's not horror, I figure a nod should be given to Once Upon a Time in the West for not only having a child killing but having it be part of one of the best villain intros in cinema.
