I see. Is the picture bad? I have the Orion VHS from the mid 90's which is okay.

Maybe if Don May Jr. stopped playing Xbox360 for 10 minutes and updated his blog more we'd know!

My parents gave me the R2 German DVD of THE INCREDIBLE MELTING MAN as a Christmas present. I've been looking over it, and despite some concerns, I'm glad they got it for me. Expect a review in the new year.

November 18th will see the release of The Minoru Kawasaki Collection:
Executive Koala Rug Cop, The World Sinks Except Japan, The http://twitchfilm.net/site/view/syna...ki-collection/ Haven't heard of 'em before, but they look good to me.

Oh wow!! Awesome...Executive Koala is awesomely hilarious and I've been looking forward to The Rug Cop for a while (c'mon...a toupee cop!!) This is great...I never thought more of this guys film would show up here in the states.
If you want a heads-up on Kawasaki, check out The Calamari Wrestler. It's way fun. I know Discotek also has Crab Goalkeeper on their upcoming schedule as well. Good times

I like Synapse. They are an enthusiastic bunch, and their releases are almost always intriguing to me. I haven't had a DVD from them yet that didn't impress me. And, unlike Barrel and Grindhouse (who also do stellar work), Synapse will give updates on a range of titles, not just ones that are right around the corner.
In June, Synapse posted on their blog about an upcoming DVD of Patrick: Quote:

The Nikkatsu announcement did not disappoint...I was hoping either for that, Shintoho horror, or Wakamatsu Pro. Can't wait to see these start to be released. Hopefully the other three from Hasebe's Rape! series are part of the deal.

AWESOME!
I saw a Nikkatsu flyer at the American Film Market this year announcing that they had created new masters of the Roman Porno titles and they were now available for international sales. I was pessimistic and assumed they would have trouble finding buyers, so I'm very much pleased with this announcement. |

Great to hear Synapse. It's a shame you can't get the rights to Basket Case, Maniac Cop 2 and 3, and Meet The Feebles. I can't wait to hear what the new SE of Basket Case 3 is gonna be!
