None. Watch them all, good and bad. It's more fun that way.

Not that I know of.This is all I found, though it could be the info is not complete yet:

And yes The Chaostar, that's what I'm beginning to think too.
Only thing is I want good print quality (can't always expect the best,I know),correct ratios and with an English audio option.

It's a Shoarma release and AFAIK those aren't the best.

I know this isn't a spaghetti western but if you want to see a truly strange great western get Terror in a Texas town. It's from 1958 and stars Sterling Hayden as a Swedish seaman who is trying to avenge his father's death. He doesn't ride a horse and take a harpoon to the final showdown. Sebastian Cabot is the evil capitalist fat cat. You will say "What the fuck???" throughout. MGM has it on DVD cheap.

I'm not sure about Corbucci's The Great Silence, how is the DVD quality?
All you plan to get are great.Pick up the great silence regardless. The qualiy is fine and the movie is wonderful.Ace high is also on region 1 and stars Eli Wallach. It is not bad. Also try-Boot Hill (Terence Hill / Bud Spencer)-Bounty Killer (Tomas Milian)-And if you can find it,Ein Einsamer Kehrt Zuruck (Klaus Kinski).

Man I did an extensive gooogle search and found this page:
http://home.earthlink.net/~scinema/
The page has sections dedicated to SW released in Europe,US and Asia.

Also found this:
http://www.fatmandan.de/ Which has over 700 SWs listed
Pretty neat and alot to read so that's what I'm going to do...

So now I discovered there are two "The Great Silence" dvds I can buy.
The US version and the UK version. Both uncut but the UK version has Italian audio option with removable English subs.
Which has the better picture quality?
Thanks.

I'm a big SW fan myself. Have you seen Cutthroats Nine? There was an unauthorized dvd floating around the net a while back, I don't remember where I bought it from, but it may be in better circulation now. It's touted as one of the goriest and hateful SW's ever made, and it does have some decent gore, but not on a horror level.

Edit - I found it at HKflix.com

Here's the link http://www.hkflix.com/xq/asp/filmID....qx/details.htm

and heres the synopsis.

An army soldier and his beautiful young daughter are escorting a gang of vicious criminals to prison. This wagon-load of brutal killers, who are chained together, is ambushed by thieves looking to rob what they believe is a gold shipment. A fight ensues with the would-be gold thieves being killed. With the wagon destroyed and the horses dead, the soldier chains himself, the savage killers, and his daughter together and makes tracks for the prison on foot through the snow covered mountains. The journey alone is hazardous enough but the danger is soon amplified when the prisoners discover the chains that bind them are made of gold! An explosion of desire ensues as the killers plot to kill their captor and split the gold and the young girl. Easily the most mean-spirited, hateful, gory spaghetti western ever made

If you liked My Name is Nobody, you should then check out the Terence Hill, Bud Spencer classics:

They Call Me Trinity
Trinity is Still My Name

Beware of US releases, they are all cheap crap. There's an import that has both in widescreen, although I haven't checked it out yet.

Thanks, they're already on my wishlist (http://www.sendit.com/video/item/7000000077105) together with this one: http://www.sendit.com/video/item/7000000078481 which is even called "Nobody Is The Greatest",a kind of pseudo sequal if you like.
Damn,I almost need TWO wishlists! One regular and one seperate Spaghetti Western wishlist!
But it's fun to discover so many great movies!

I love both the Trinity flicks. I do have the import DVD and it's 1000000000000000% better than the cheapo pan & scan DVD's, direct from VHS tapes sold here. Both films are restored in 2:35.1 anamorphic widescreen. The films look damn nice, exceptional transfers. There's interviews with both Terence Hill and Bud Spencer, stills gallery, and you can play either movie with an optional trivia track subtitle function.
