Damn, I bought the treasure box set years ago - I think during one of Deep Discount's big sales. I don't think I paid over $100 but at the time I was reluctant because I already had 2 or 3 of the individual sets. Glad I bought it now. I had no idea it was out of print.

The Ghosts set is really all I'd be interested in. I am quite fond of the show though.

I remember being terrified by the one with the crazy guy who attacks the elderly couple in an RV. Also remember a ghost one where a kid comes home from school to an empty house and hears footsteps upstairs. He runs out of the house and looks back to see someone staring at him from one of the windows. I remember being really creeped out by that one.

They do have some, but many updates aren't on the DVD versions. Not sure why.

remember the one where the girl was a teen model and starred in some movies like spring break and scarface, she thought she was being watched by people in a white van, then she just disappeared. that always made me wonder what happened to her. apparently at a wrap party for :Spring break" movie in the summer of 82, she walked in on someone doing counterfeit money and thinks she saw something she wasn't supposed to.. It was a strange episode..

I too have the Treasure Chest set. The bonus disc that you can only get in this set has some great stories on it. The Ghosts discs and Strange Legends discs are definitely my favourite of the collections, though the UFO set had some good stories too. I still haven't finished going through all of the discs though. I believe I'm on the Miracles episodes, and I haven't gone though the Strange Murders episodes either.

Really great set either way, and I agree with some of these episodes being much creepier than most horror films. The theme song alone with Robert Stack's narration is frightening enough!
