I'd like to buy the steelbook myself damn it looks sweet. I just have no idea if it will be safely packed to avoid damage. Every time I order something overseas it always comes in some non padded mailer.

I got the steelbook of The Thing from amazon UK and it came with foam wrapped around it. I guess enough people complained about it that they started packing steelbooks better.

When I received my Return of the Living Dead steelbook from Amazon UK it was actually packaged in a cardboard box that looked to me like it was intentionally designed to be shipped with the least amount of damage possible. Guess it's a crap shoot really, depending on what warehouse it's shipped from.

Would they make some thing with that many pages into a small booklet? They probably should go like the recent Blade Runner route and just have the steelbook packaged in a box with a hardcover version of the digibook's pages.

UK specs
seems to be missing the scenes from the tv version as an extra that are listed for the US edition. Amazon Uk does not list them either.

Well for starters, only if this is region B locked and only if Region B isnt your region. I cant see anything to suggest that this will be Region B locked as of yet.
I am in a region B area but have a region free player so I am Sweeeeeeeet!

I see no reason why it should be. It isn't as if Universal has rights in the US and MGM has the rights in Europe and there is some sort of legal conflict. Both the US and the UK release are being produced by Anchor Bay.

lets hope the tv deleted scenes is included on the usa anchor bay Blu-ray remember what happened with Halloween 4 rumored 30 min of deleted/alternate footage last august when the Blu-ray came out no deleted footage misprint in anchor bay's press release. why couldn't they just do a seamless branching ala lionsgate my bloody valentine oop dvd/Blu-ray release.

After looking at these screenshots I think it's possible that God might love us after all.

I can't wait until this disc arrives!
