Big news (full credit goes to DVDNewsFlash)!:
http://www.thewrap.com/movies/articl...xclusive-81966 Question is what "major studio" is releasing it? Universal or Paramount? EDIT: Never mind. Universal owns US rights and Paramount owns international rights. Last edited by Nailwraps; 03-22-2013 at 02:35 AM. |

This was a "re-make" of Wages of Fear correct?

Sorcerer is great 70's cinema. Love the Tangerine Dream soundtrack.

Just saw the trailer - at first it looked like some political action thriller but then it showed the truck on the creaky bridge (wow) and brief shots of crappy roads and jungle. Anyone who's not familiar with the film (or the original French version) would think it's some cheesy medieval fantasy flick based on the title. I really need to see this movie!

Horribly, horribly titled movie. Everything else about it is outstanding. It's been up for conversation recently, so a few weeks ago I watched my old laserdisc. Would love to see the 35mm print that is hitting NY and LA

One of the rare cases where I don't know whether I like the original or the remake more.

Yeah the title is awful. I avoided this for years cuz I thought it was gonna be something like Legend. And tangerine dream did scores for both? Yeah had me confused.

...Legend is a beautiful film. Shallow as hell, but one of the most visually stunning fantasy flicks ever made.

I see this film kicking around on VHS all of the time. I'd much rather have Jack Hill's Sorceress announced. I've been looking for that for a few years now to no avail. (Not that I've tried that hard, just the places around here).
