Beyond The Rave

Plot Outline: An English soldier must find and win back his girlfriend from the clutches of a mysterious group of hardcore ravers before he flies to Iraq in the morning. Trailer - rating: 3/5

Plot Outline: Director Hasan Karacadag argues that he tried to create a model of a Turkish-Islamic horror film and that he would make the world recognize this model, of which he sees "Semum" as the first example. "Semum" stars Ayça inci, Burak Hakki and Cem Kurtoglu in the lead roles and recounts the true story of a woman who lives in Izmir. "Semum" will be compared with "The Exorcist" and inci will be compared with Linda Blair, the director says, noting that the Turkish horror films made so far have been far from satisfactory. I'd like to add this film to that list:

Fritt vilt (Cold Prey)

I didn't search for the trailer because I'm afraid that it'll spoil it for people (I haven't seen it though, so I don't have a clue ..) but from what I've heard, this should be fantastic. It's a Norwegian slasher film that takes place in the snowy mountains of Norway.

The guys over at Mondo Movie Podcast raved about it and made me very interested. Here's that particular podcast if you want to download it (#60).
