Maxim's 66 Best Horror Flicks You've Never Seen.

This was actually a pretty impressive list for a mainstream men's magazine. I've seen like 85% myself and I've heard of pretty much all of them, but still I expected a much worse list.

Glad to see Black Christmas, Eyes Without a Face and I Saw the Devil listed, those are a few of my favorites.

In no real order, just how they appeared in the magazine.

Brain Dead - 2007
Big Tits Zombie
Deep River Savages
Psychos in Love
The Innocents
Vampyres
The Long Island Cannibal Massacre
Dahmer Vs. Gacy
Raw Meat - 1973
Black Christmas - Real One
Theatre of Blood
Vampire Girl Vs. Frankenstein Girl
Pulse - Real one
The Seventh Curse
The Shiver of the Vampires
The Quatermass Xperiment
Deathdream
Attack of the Beast Creatures
Contamination .7
High Tension
The Bleeding House
The Midnight Meat Train
Cannibal Holocaust
Inseminoid
Martyrs
Dog Soldiers
Sleepaway Camp
Bloody Pit of Horror
The Pit
Microwave Massacre
Eyes Without a Face
I Saw The Devil

The remaining were listed as "What Scares The Guys Who Scare Us"
Clive Barker
-Don't Look Now
-Le Sang des Betes (Blood of the Beasts)
-Education For Death
-Ataque de Panico!
-Eyes Without a Face

Guillermo Del Toro
-Kuroneko
-L'Arcano Incantatore (Arcane Sorcerer)
-Onibaba
-La Residencia (The House That Screamed)
-El DIa de la Bestia (The Day of the Beast)

Rich Wolf (Editor from Obscure Horror.com)
-Session 9
-May
-Ravenous
-Hell is Full
-Frayed

Darren Lynn Bousman
-The Lost
-We Need To Talk About Kevin

Rob Zombie
-Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things
-Martin
-Daughters of Darkness
-Spider Baby
-The Last Man on Earth

Robert Englund

-Kill List
-The Devil's Backbone
-Behind The Mask

Tom Six

-Salo
-The Blair Witch Project

Yeah, I don't think all of the directors understood the question.

Wow, I was surprised to see Brain Dead right off the bat. Super fun film that it seems like only few saw.

The actual movies on the list are kind of a mixed bag. But aside from Tom Six's list (judging from his own films, he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed), the majority of these films are fairly obscure outside of the horror community.

That actually is a pretty interesting list. A couple of those I hadn't even heard of.

Thankskilling and Poultrygeist were also included on a side bar called "Best Movies featuring fowl killers"

I was shocked to see that list. Impressive titles. Brain Dead is a lot of fun!

Yeah, it's what zbinks said. It's a Japanese movie similar to Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl, or any of those kinds of movies. It's actually in 3-d in a few parts, I saw it in 2-d though.

Attack of the Beast Creatures? Best? Some of the attack scenes are funny but the rest is boring and stupid. People hyped it as the next Troll 2, but it's not. I guess it was included in the list because of the semi-hype and because it's rare.

I've only seen about 10 of these. I've seen most of what the directors mentioned, except Del Toro's.

I had a chance to buy Vampire Girl for $3 and passed. It looked stupid.
