Here's three of the worst ones that come to mind: (1) Unmasked Part 25- What a waste! A poor man's Student Bodies that should be avoided at all costs. (2) Splatter University- The horror, the horror... A waste of celluloid from the Troma team. (3) The Nail Gun Massacre- Bad, Bad movie that's worth a few chuckles. But the cheese factor soon wears off and you're left with an absolute piece of shit. Saving graces: Cheesy ass 80's cover art and the killer's voice sounds like a third rate Darth Vader! Any more? ------------------ "Have you ever had an Egyptian feast?"
New Year's Evil. Soooo very very bad. Just another horrible Halloween ripoff. ------------------ "It's not who you come with, it's who you take home." - Prom Night 4 "...find something you love doing and do it for the rest of your life..." - Rushmore
I really did not like Slaughter High. Some seem to like it, but I just thought it was boring and stupid. My friend and I agreed afterwards that we just wasted our money. We both almost fell asleep it was so boring, and we didn't think the gore was all that great (if I remember correctly). It had an interesting idea, but it seemed too predictable for us (Which is kind of a hypocritcal thought to have after some of the other movies I've seen and watched). ------------------ "It's a spadoinkle day" -Cannibal: The Musical AIM: TobalRox ICQ: 348909
Has anyone seen Blood Frenzy and Iced? Two very cheesy slashers from the '80s that both featured the grown-up Lisa Loring who played Wednesday on the old "Addams Family" TV series when she was little. [This message has been edited by Vdlman (edited 10-16-2000).]
I've gotta agree with Splatter University, New Year's Evil, and Savage Weekend as being pretty pisspoor. I thought Slaughter High was okay, and at least had some interesting death scenes (bathtub of acid, etc.).
Here are a few more I should mention: Class Reunion Massacre (a.k.a. The Redeemer) - So cheesy and unintentionally humorous there's no way you can take it seriously. Don't Go in the Woods - So hilariously bad you must see it to believe it! Just invite your friends over to watch it and you'll have a fun time! I dont even think that these flicks are WORTHY of being called slasher, so I suppose they belong on the list even more: Scream 2 and 3 (the first was good for what it was, just not a horror movie) Urban Legend films Valentine (so bad I left the theater) I know how much you sucked last summer... (really sucked, both of them) Anything else starring the cast of the WB network and/or written by Kevin Williamson.
I second that. rhett will never live this down. I'm adding Cut, Christina's House, and Ripper: Letter from Hell to the list. Such poor excuses for slashers...
Sorority House Massacre has to be the worst slasher film ever to come out. Amateur in every way. Although some members feel the need for pot shots at other members' guilty pleasures, I will not resort to such measures. It's bad enough that Helly listens to Madonna, I wouldn't want him to further feel anguished knowing that a certain other film about Sororities is also well below par.
Madonna is hotter now, at 40-something than she has ever been, so she does deserve some respect, you're right! Sorority House Massacre deserves no respect though, I hate this movie with a burning passion.
Worst Slasher Flicks: Ressurection. Anyway: Slumber Party Massacre 2: "I can't stop...lovin you! I won't stop, till I doooooooo!" Ok....when a killer sings a rock song as he's doing the crip walk to your door....it's a fucked up thing. Final Exam: Becides a gritty picture, it's not a very good movie. No motive, crappy ending and most of all: terrible acting.
Worst of the worst: To All A Good Night (1980) Final Exam (1981) Trick or Treats (1982) Movie House Massacre (1984) Too Scared to Scream (1985) Edge of the Axe (1987)
After watching Madman this weekend, I have to add it to my list. It is a total setup for MST3000 in almost every scene. I had fun with it, but I think the alcohol and group setting had a lot to do with it. The Slumber Party series is pretty bad, even by slasher standards .
