Worst as in lowest rated by IMDb:

    1. Hansel & Gretel (Video) from The Asylum starring poor Dee Wallace who certainly deserves better.

    2. Sharknado (TV) from The Asylum. Lots of Internet hype made out to be the Trash-event of the year. Overrated, as it is stuck between the cheesy brilliance of Mega Piranha and the lousy dullness of Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus.

    3. Stranded - Sci-Fi Horror from Roger Christian who left his mark with the creepy and atmospheric The Sender and made a fool out of himself with Battlefield Earth.

    4. The Wicked (Video) Not seen yet. Direct-to-video supernatural crap I suppose.

    5. The Last Exorcism Part II - Flawed sequel, should've gone straight to video.

    6. Hansel & Gretel Get Baked - Cheech & Chong get wasted.

    7. Fright Night 2: New Blood (Video) had its moments but didn't fully deliver.

    8. Dead in Tombstone (Video) Danny Trejo is becoming the new king of direct-to-video turds.

    9. Hell Baby - Based on the IMDb rating, this one didn't live up to its hype.

    10. Texas Chainsaw - Lazy sequel to the original by changing horror history with a flimsy plot device so they could connect and continue the story in the 2010s. They could've at least given us the unrated version on DVD/Blu-ray instead of an iTunes exclusive.

Is a flawed failure worse or better than a regular failure? ;)

I would agree with all of those except The Last Exorcism Part II. I didn't think it was that bad.

I actually enjoyed Hansel and Gretel Get Baked - I thought it was the best of the recent glut of Hansel and Gretel movies.

I thought The Wicked was a fun little teen slasher movie.

Texas Chainsaw is really stupid, but I can't say it isn't entertaining to watch.

    The list should include:
    Girls Against Boys
    The ABCs Of Death
    Come Out And Play
    Home Sweet Home

and not necessarily horror, but genre related:
    Room 237
    A Haunted House

I've had the displeasure of sitting through a number of really bad horror films this year.

    The Worst:
    Big Foot: Lost Coast Tapes
    Black Rock
    Blood Runs Cold
    Evidence
    Frankenstein's Army
I Spit On Your Grave 2
    No One Lives
    R.I.P.D.
    Texas Chainsaw
    Warm Bodies

I found Texas Chainsaw entertaining enough in its own right. Is it a worthy expansion the 1974 classic? Not quite, but I liked it enough to want to revisit it at some point. The only thing I really disliked was Trey Songz' character, and that was mainly because he came with his own annoying theme music.

My bottom 10 Horror films of 2013:

    1. Fright Night 2

    Lazy, bland and lifeless sequel/reboot.

    2. The ABC's of Death

    Great concept. Piss poor execution.

    3. A Haunted House

    An unfunny mess.

    4. Hell Baby

    Another unfunny mess.

    5. Bloody Homecoming

It has all the right ingredients to make a solid slasher film but its executed in the most bland way possible.

    6. Ooga Booga

Tries WAAAAAYYYY too hard to be offensive and comes across as retarded instead.

    7. Unlucky Charms

Cool concept and some great tits but the execution is sloppy and rushed.

    8. John Dies at the End

This one seems to be popular with horror fans but I couldn't stand it. I found myself more frustrated with it than truly enjoying it.

    9. The Battery

I didn't exactly hate this one but I was still pretty underwhelmed with it. Well made indie but I was pretty bored with it.

    10. Hellbenders

Another one I didn't exactly hate but it still could've been so much more.

Lara Flynn Boyle AND Yancy Butler? I feel compelled to see this. :sperm:

The Comcast holiday music channel quoted some facts about the "real" Hansel & Gretel movie which I found funny since I hadn't even thought of that as a Christmas Horror at all. Put it back on my radar and now I see this. I'll have to check them both out.

I've started to steer clear of low budget horror this year (unless someone on this site said it was worth catching) but SINISTER and THE PURGE were god-awful. Poor Ethan Hawke.
