    The Exorcist is one of just a few films that actually scared me when I was young. R.I.P.

    He also wrote the screenplay for the film, as well as Part III/Legion, among others. RIP.

    Damn, he has always been a favorite director of mine. While I know that chances were unlikely, I had always hoped he would manage to get more films made. So sad to hear that won't happen.

    I remember buying a used copy of The Exorcist at the library when I was a kid because my parents wouldn't let me see the movie due to the R rating.

    Sad news. I am glad that he got to over see a Directors Cut of The Exorcist III before his passing after so many years of Warner showing zero interest.
