Wonderful. :fuck: I'm so fucking pumped that the Remake Train has yet to be derailed. :fire: Guess we can thank all of those retarded screaming teens and their disposable cash flow.

Thank you! Now I don't have to waste my time and money to see this piece of shit.

I'll definitely rent it, though. Just to see how bad it is. :D

Um, I hate to break it to you, but I don't think a movie has a sexual preference. Just thought I'd... point that out. You know.

I don't even know if this movie is Half-Price-Tuesday-at-the-Dollar-Theater-worthy.

Just got back from seeing this.

A handful of decent setups and scenes completely undermined by everything else being extremely subpar.

First and foremost...none of the calls worked. They did sound better than they did in the trailers, but not much better. None of them were an inkling as chilling as any of the calls in the original. Also, gone is the "why haven't you checked the children?" line. All we get is the regular "Have you checked the children?" and then an a new payoff line
    "How are the children?"
This sequence could've been extended with a fair amount of suspense. Instead, it's ham-handed all the way.

To the film's credit, it does have a great musical score by James Dooley. Refreshing in an age when most horror films have annoying, noisy pop/rock soundtracks. I also liked the ending. Seemed like something you would've seen in 1982.

Not much else to recommend. It's watchable, but only in the "Lifetime-original-movie" sort of way.

This is the worst movie I saw in a theater since ... I don't remember when! At the end I could stop laughing because of all the clichés used in it. My friends were even embarsassed because I was laughing so much.

    Spoilers: (scroll)
It takes like 50 minutes before he says Have you checked The Children ??? Come on that's the whole point of the movie!!!

Anyway it's a big 0/5 for me!!

I'm watching the original Carol Kane version on DVD. I think I'll stick with that one. :)
There's much more familiarity with that house in the '79 film. This new film features a house that looks like a museum. I just can't get as scared and put myself in that position.

Well, as bad as the movie may be, there's no way it can be worse than this Super Bowl.

I haven't seen it (thankfully from what I've heard), but go if you're a glutton for punishment.

I'm half and half on remakes but this is one stinker that I'll happily stay away from. The trailer alone sucks huge donkey balls. I can't imagine sitting through this entire crapfest.

Hey guys. I just got back from this movie.

    Ok here are my thoughts:

Its pretty boring. Nothing even happens for the 1st 3/4 of the movie. I kept yawning in this one. Its not even worth a rental. Hell I would not even want to waste a back-up dvd disk on this pos.

The original is soooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better!!

Guys & Gals keep away. Trust me on this one. U hated The Fog?.... Welll then you will really hate this one.

I like to :fire: @ When A Stranger Calls!!!

Admit it though, you knew it was going to suck. Pairing this and the Super Bowl? You were just clearly having a mashocistic day. You wanted pain. :p

Yep. not just that. I wasted 2 tickets (My son and I)

    Two movie tickets = $14.00
    Nachos = $3.99
    Small Popcorn = $2.99
    Large Tea = $2.99
    Plus Tax

    Grand total wasted= $25.94

And it was a late night movie that I could not even get a nightmare over. Equals a tired ass mofo that is working right now.

"When a Stranger calls" get's this from me= :fuck:
