    I'm really surprised that these two choices are in the lead. I picked prequel, because I would like to know more about Jason's origins.:rolleyes:

    Exactly. How big is the market for such a F13 film, where a group of obscure, past-their-prime actors "team up?" It's a tough sell, which is the reason this rarely happens. This isn't Sylvester Stallone and Arnie teaming up, which has a huge nostalgic audience.

    I don't know why people want to see Jason in the snow. There are a few good slasher movies out there with killers in the snow. And of course there is The Thing. Jason works in the summer. Where there are warm lakes and kids acting up. Not inclosed with kids needing to put on gear to go outside. Or in some kind of closed up underground camp environment.

    They don't. They go skiing. Or do other winter sports. But the idea of tents in the snow or some kind of large cabin or building with Jason roaming around really is not a good idea. Because indoor stuff is what will eventually happen. They won't stay out in the cold forever and Jason will have to make his way inside.

    Why not just make a new horror character that works in the winter instead of using Jason?

    They should just redo Jason into a new pro-type character. Like Jason Voorhees continuing as a zombie and ignoring Manhattan. Continue where part 7 left off but have Jason look different. Of course continue with the hockey mask but give Jason a different look.

    This winter idea sounds intriguing. Maybe Jason vs a bunch of Grumpy Old Men. You don't mess with an old man and his fishing pole.

    Why not just make a Yeti / Abominable Snowman movie? I don't think we've seen a good one with him. Or a group of kids stumble around looking for a warm cave in the snow after a blizzard and find a hidden kingdom with the Yeti. Make it a twist like The Descent meets Friday the 13th or something. Anything but just Jason in the snow.
