I might consider one or two of those, but if those are the titles they're using as the selling point, then my expectations for the titles yet to be announced are dampened a bit. For a company devoted to preserving and releasing 60's through 90's exploitation movies, they have managed to not release a single title I really want the last year or so. The last title of theirs I got was Nurse Sherri (a modestly enjoyable blind buy). I'm happy for those who enjoy their recent selections - I just feel kind of unlucky. I'm just gonna come right out and say it: Where's Last House on Dead End Street and Silent Night, Bloody Night?
I'm surprised you're not interested in The Killing Kind or Dear Dead Delilah. They seem like they'd be up your alley. I haven't seen Delilah, but I can vouch for Killing Kind.
I'm not rejecting The Killing Kind outright, but when reading up on it online, I saw it being compared to Peeping Tom, which isn't a recommendation in my book. Don't get me wrong, I recognise Peeping Tom as an important movie - it just doesn't do much for me. I much prefer sleazy exploitation to classy thriller. But thanks for the recommendation - I may bite.
And I certainly recognise that some of my favourites are trash, but there's trash you love and trash you don't need - it all comes down to personal preference.
Give The Killing Kind a shot. I think it's a pretty great movie, myself. I haven't seen Peeping Tom, so I can't comment on the comparison, but I will say that Butcher, Baker, Nightmare Maker (or Night Warning) gives the same sort of narrative vibe, though it's a bit more conventional.
And, yes, some news about Last House would be nice.
Butcher Baker is a fair comparison as it's a creepy mother / son relationship. For some reason, it always reminded me of The Baby, but maybe just because of the dream sequences of John Savage in a baby crib at the beach.
...and my weird filming locations obsession, I've been to the house from the movie, located in Hancock Park. Also used in The Initiation Of Sarah and Cheaper By The Dozen.
Deadly Daphne's Revenge and Pets are the two new movies Vinegar Syndrome has up for sale. It says that Deadly Daphne's Revenge was advertised as horror years ago but it is really not a horror movie, it is actually a revenge thriller.
Reviews are up for the 2 exclusive titles:
I got my order in for those two. I'm so glad they are releasing Pets... that's the one Code Red release I have always regretted not buying when it was available. I'm sure it won't be much more than a coaster in comparison to the VS release anyway.
I now regret buying the Pets DVD because I bought it after it was OOP and while the price wasn't insane or anything (maybe $30 or $35) it was still more than retail and more than this BD I just ordered...
I ordered both, along with the halfway package. Super expensive, but considering I buy all this stuff anyway, it should more than pay for itself in the long run.
Awesome news about Pets! I love that film, and can't wait until it arrives in my June package as I'm due for a revisit. I'll be hanging onto my DVD of it still though (or at least the cover) as I have it autographed.
Eh, not sure anything here is for me.
Yeah, I was gonna order both secret titles, but after second thoughts(and research) I just pulled Deadly Daphne Revenge out of my cart. That movie looks boring and awful, plus I realized it's in one of my Troma triple packs. Saved myself $23. Not gonna be tricked to buy because it's very Limited.
I don't buy sexploitation, but I've always wanted to see Pets.
I'll skip Daphne...
i ordered Prey, the 2 limited Blu's and...
i finally caved in and went for the Halfway Blu-Ray only package
because, why not?
Worth mentioning, if you're thinking about the Halfway Package but you already ordered the June bundle with Blood Theater and Grave Robbers, shoot them an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org and they'll cancel it for you.
I did that, and they replied with a cancellation and refund within minutes.

I restrained myself and only bought "Pets", "Fugitive Girls" and the 2018 catalog. I was hoping for a 5 for 5 volume 3 set as I really enjoyed their first two volumes.
