Vinegar Syndrome - New Genre Label

They are quite different in tone from what I can recall. It's been years since I saw Disconnected, but it really doesn't have any of the "Comedy" element that's present in Psychos in Love.

It's an odd film full of schlock though, so if you didn't like Psychos in Love, you might not like Disconnected either.

 

Ice Cream Man apparently includes an option to watch with Joe Bob Briggs' Monstervision segments, which would be one of the coolest bonus features imaginable.

 

Funny, I wound up buying Pick-up & Count Dracula's Great Love too. But my third was Graduation Day.

I bit the bullet this year and ordered the 2018 Completionist Yearly Subscription (my $5 off coupon from the Liquid Sky/Secret Titles pre-order the other month sure helped ). Sure, it might hurt now but ain't gotta worry about all next year! Also picked up a few titles I missed from the last few months (Seeds/Vapors, Demon Wind, Blood Beat, Corpse Grinders, A Woman's Torment, Prime Evil/Lurkers, Psychos in Love, Murder Weapon/Deadly Embrace) and the "metal" t-shirt.

 

I looked at a lot of Black Friday sales: Vinegar Syndrome, Ronin, Severin, Shout Factory. Surprisingly I already had just about all the titles I wanted so I was able to skip placing any orders. Amazon is where I spent the money this year.

This sale seems underwhelming to me this year. Lots of titles are still close to $20. I'll still grab a few.

 

That cover for Ice Cream Man is awesome. Haven't seen since I was a kid.....looking forward to revisiting.

 

was thinking about doing the same for the Blu-Ray only part but as an international customer, shipping costs are about 200$ more and I just can't justify that with a lot of mystery surrounding the discs

so it'll be looking out each month for what they release, though it's still mighty tempting!

 

That Blu package is pretty decent. You don't have to worry about shipping. Comes to $14.75 a blu (going only on 40 Blu's) Looking at this last year, there's quite a few I passed on, so I won't be getting it. They always have sales and I never missed out on a title I wanted (LTD or not) over the last two years. It's a commitment for sure, never mind the completionist package.

 

I would get the yearly bundle if it excluded the porn titles. I suppose I could just sell the ones I don't want, but pretty sure eBay is finnicky when it comes to porn.

 

Just looking now at the first 2 pages of the shop. I passed on 8 Blu's (just not interested) and that's not including the porn titles. So that's around a $120 dollars right there I would have never wanted to spend, at $14.75 each ... not even at $10 each.

Even the January package , only one title I'm interested in. VS, puts out really, really excellent quality product. Just not every movie they have is of my taste. Personally Ibought the Black Friday Flash Mystery Sale, (only the two, not Liquid Sky) and looking at the titles. I might have bought one of them, Ice Cream Man if I didn't pull the trigger. I went for it because the Mystery sale sounded fun(why the hell not) , figure one of them was going to possible be Fatal Games or something like that. Without any hints , rumors, etc... I would never in my life wanted or requested Disconnected, even Ice Cream Man is a weird title to release imho. But at least its interesting/fun to say the least.

Bottom line, I love VS. It's my favorite company, very looking forward to 2018. Keep up the good work.

 

well said, i'm in the same boat, the technical side of their work is excellent, it's just that a lot of titles they release i have no interest in

i checked out the titles that are known for now and most don't interest me and 1 of the horror titles they announced was Horror High, which I already have the Code Red DVD of and I don't need an upgrade

 

I ended up getting Disconnected, The Ice Cream Man, Pick-Up, and the metal horns Vinegar Syndrome t-shirt.

today, i checked through their super sale section and also added Luther The Geek to my order

 

Yeah I didn't notice their Super Sale Section until after I placed my order. Better than 50% off there and some stuff I'd like. It's easy enough to throw them into my current order which is a GREAT option they've made. But I already spent so much... Not sure I want to bite off any more.

And I forgot all about Snapshot so I didn't think to order it. That sold out early Friday morning. Too bad, that's an awesome slipcase.
