Wow, the October package is a dream.

I love Necromancer and Rest in Pieces. Rest in Pieces was leaked ages ago, but it's still exciting to see it finally come to fruition.

Whodunit, I honestly can't recall if I've ever seen before...

I already have the Deadly Games Blu-ray from Camera Obscura...which had a pretty solid transfer, so we'll see how the 4K UHD compares. I'm a little surprised that it's the mystery UHD title though.

VS are also releasing Bloody Nose, Empty Pockets under the new Utopia label: https://vinegarsyndrome.com/products/bloody-nose-empty-pockets-utopia and it seems to be selling well. The Slipcover version is limited to just 500 and currently just over 300 copies are left in stock.

I knew that first "leaked" pic looked familiar! Glad to see Rest in Pieces is coming even though it's hardly a surprise, can't wait to upgrade this one. The rest of the lineup looks great too, I might get them all except for 3615 code Père Noël since I already have it.

The Slipcover edition of Bloody Nose, Empty Pockets is already down to just 62 left, so I doubt it'll last today without selling out. Anyone on the fence had better jump if they want one.

There's 998 of the "Standard" edition remaining, but it's just $3 cheaper than the Slip edition.

I can't remember the last time VS had two months in a row with so many titles I wanted. I remember liking Cemetery of Terror enough to want to revisit it. It definitely plays like a Mexican Fulci ripoff, and to me, that's not a bad thing. I'm also in for Whodunit? - I love 80's slashers, so it's pretty exciting to be getting something from the period I haven't seen before.

It's a great selection I've not seen any of them apart from 'necromancer' I will be purchasing them all. They seem to have really ramped up the output.

I live in the UK and this is the company I purchases most of my imports from.

I like how they started free U.S. shipping and lower International rates now.

Hey, a few more mini-reviews of some older VS movies I've just watched for the first time:

Pigs - This one is really good, definitely belongs in everyone's collection. I thought it was gonna be about killer pigs (and that is somewhat of a plot point, but not the main focus), instead it's a more creepy rural horror where nothing is what it seems. Brisk pace and an interesting story. That's all I ask for.

Slaughterhouse - Bought this mostly because it was filmed in my city, but if you didn't tell me that up front I'd never know. It was all shot in rural areas wayyyyyyy outside of any place I care about. The only thing I recognized was the theater where they hold the premiere (in the bonus features). It's a bookstore now. As for the movie itself, a pretty generic 80s backwoods slice-and-dice. If I had to put money down I'd say I probably won't ever watch it again.

Double Exposure - This was an interesting variant on a giallo themed slasher (I.E., it plays up the "mystery" angle, throws in some red herrings, the killer reveal is not who we expect, etc), but not THAT interesting. Also, I've been watching the 70s LA-based cop show Police Story a lot lately, and this sort of feels like a 90 minute version of that, with nudity. I was more impressed that I recognized Victoria Jackson (ex-SNL, current political nut-job) as a "race girl", and that one of the Chippendale's dancers is the guy who played the infamous "Nick the Dick" in Bachelor Party. He's uncredited here, had to go to IMDb to confirm.

So like you can already surmise, I'd say only Pigs is worth picking up at the next sale.

Thanks Paff. I may try and get a hold of Pigs now. Sounds interesting.
