I hate to keep piling this non-Shout related stuff here, but I just got the official cancellation/refund email from Amazon for Killer Party, so I don't think anyone will be getting it. Still says shipped in my Amazon page though. Weird.

I think red tag market on amazon also had Killer party for one cent and eligible for free shipping. When I put it in the cart it said it was no longer available...but looking again today it still lists it. I don't think anybody will be getting this for that steal of a price. An obvious glitch.

Thanks Muilated. I ordered a bunch of stuff from I-deals who I think triggered this whole pricing thing. Haven't heard if my good deals are going to pan out.

Btw, just to keep this about Shout! I picked up the Halloween 2 and 3 blu rays!

hey good advice here for blu ray cases. since they are so hard to pry open, what i usually do is get a big flathead screwdriver and bend back the plastic flaps as far as you can go. they wont break,,, and then when you go to open it. it will open easier...

    LOL yeah what the fuck?

I didn't have any issues opening the blu ray cases of The Funhouse or Terror Train. As a matter of fact, I don't think I've ever had difficulty opening a standard blu ray case.

Yeah, No kidding...no problem opening mine either. Shout even uses the good OLD kind of Elite Blu-ray cases that aren't that cutout eco-shit.

All 26 of my i-deals Amazon purchases were canceled today, due to supposedly being "out of stock." More like they fucked up on pricing and didn't want to honor it. Based on the feedback they're getting, it wasn't just me it happened to!

All of my orders were cancelled too with no explanation. Would have been nice of the seller to at least contact their customers. Getting back feedback from me for that. I figured that this was too good to be true, but some folks on DVD talk Are posting that they got shipping notices. Not quite sure if I am more or disappointed. Oh well. Life goes on.

Hmm....I actually think Terror Train might be one of the best slasher films made in the 80s. It has a clever plot - a costume party where the killer keeps changing disguises, so nobody really knows who he is (even though to the viewer it's no red herring). The acting is well done for the most part (Hart Bochner and Ben Johnson especially) - it has great cinematography, much better than other slasher films of the era. It's very atmospheric and the whole movie has this eerie claustrophobic vibe to it that actually works to great effect. Also, the chase scene is probably the best in any 80s slasher film (right up there with Hell Night and Wendy's chase scene in Prom Night).

I don't get all the hate for this film. It has better pacing than The Funhouse - sure it's not a gory slasher but Terror Train is stylish in the tradition of Halloween and it really works.
