Sounds like SPM trilogy will be on a 2-disc set all together, not each movie on a 2-disc set. I would think with these movies being somewhat short, they could easily get plenty of special features on the double disc set. 2 movies are 77 minutes and 1 movie is 87 minutes. Seems like 2 movies on 1 disc and the second disc would have the third movie with plenty of room for a fair amount of features.
Oh my god!? I totally missed this news. Count me in on getting this when it comes out, not to mention the SPM trilogy. Yay Shout!
Awesome, can't wait for Galaxy even though I have a nice dub of the WS Italian dvd. Maggot rape in HD, I'm so in!
Yeah, what's up with that? I'll be hesitant to purchase the DVD while there's still a chance they'll release it on Blu ray. Hopefully we'll hear the about a Blu release sometime in the coming months- August 3rd is still a ways off.....
I've got the uncut Japanese DVD of Humanoids From The Deep so I'll only be buying if the Blu-Ray appears.
There are a few heads being twisted and pulled off at the finale when the creatures attack, Major blood spray everywhere, Prob only amounts to 15-20 seconds but worth it
Hmmm, that sounds like a good 15-20 seconds. I'm surprised I never came across that version before. How long has the DVD been out of print? I've must find a copy now!
I own it, also. It was released by King Records and is the definitive version as of now. I also found the quality to be great. The disc did cost $50, so it better be a slick presentation.
I guess I'll keep my eye out for the Japanese disc, but I may as well wait to see if the Shout! Factory disc is uncut first. Especially since the import is not anamorphic. I do like the artwork for the Japanese disc too though.
The Blu-rays for Galaxy of Terror and Forbidden World are now up for pre-order on Amazon. I had the DVD's on pre-order at $13.99 each, and cancelled those. These are only $5 more each..right now.
I hope that Shout Factory will consider giving the blu-ray treatment to the Slumber Party Massacre series. I would imagine that they have a bigger fanbase than Galaxy Of Terror and Forbidden World. I would also love to see Twice Dead on blu-ray, but considering that it is a lesser known film I wouldn't expect it to happen. I am looking forward to Rock 'n' Roll High School next month!
i did read somewhere that the 'humanoid from the deep' release, would be fully uncut and anamorphic widescreen, but i can't remember where i read it, hope it was not a dream!!!!
Great news about a FORBIDDEN WORLD directors cut (with original MUTANT title perhaps?) This has always been one of my favorite ALIEN clones/ripoffs. Wonder if they'll include the soundtrack album extra from the German DVD as well?
