Hopefully mine will show up soon. I'm actually more interested in Lady in Red than Crazy Mama although I haven't seen either.

This is the correct answer. Maybe it's cuz I pimp the hell out of Lady in Red on this site, but it really is just an amazing movie. For so many reasons, but maybe the best one is seeing Christopher "Doc Brown and Reverend Jim" Lloyd as a bad guy, and I mean a REAL bad guy.

Although Shout hasn't confirmed it yet, leaked/rumoured that Dan Akroyd's cult classic (to me) Nothing But Trouble is hitting Blu-ray on the Shout Select line on 10/26.

From the Scream Factory Facebook post announcing Deadly Friend:

"Extras will be announced on a later date, but we can confirm today that there will be a new HD transfer of the film (same runtime & content as the prior “Twisted Terror” DVD) and interview with actress Kristy Swanson!"

Sure, it's not a hit. But one of my guilty pleasure movies.

I just ordered Killer Party, Deadly Friend and Elvira's Haunted Hills. I'm not spending a dime on Nothing But Trouble.

They weren't always right, but I have to side with them on this one.

They watched the movie and then both died afterwards. Nuff said.

I had some hope all these years since 1988 (when I first saw KILLER PARTY on Showtime...or HBO) that I would see extra scenes or extra special effects but had a feeling all these years it would never happen. Glad Shout! checked, though!!!!!!!
I love K.P. but I have always had this feeling that the main part of the movie with the sorority girls always seemed oddly unattached to the opening part of the movie which looks and seems slightly "newer". Back then (to me), 1983-1984 looked sooooooooooooooooo much different than 1986-1987. In fact, you can't really sum up the entire decade of the 80s with a single "look" or "vibe".
I think what I'm leading up to is - was KILLER PARTY a completed movie but with that added prologue that was filmed a few years later and added by United Artists for the brief 1986 theatrical release in the USA????? Anyone know for certain?

I don't know for certain but it definitely feels like a different film at the start. I wouldn't surprise me to find out it was added later.

I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure I've heard somewhere before that it was indeed added on later...

Killer Party was shot in 1984, but wasn't released until 1986, and I guess that's when they also shot and added the opening.

The original title was "April Fools", but they changed it to Killer Party, since April Fools Day was released the same year.

This is just a casual observation, but Scream Factory used a super low-res image for their cover art on The Borrower. If you look at it up close, it's all blocky and out-of-focus.

Doesn't matter though, I'm excited to finally have this on blu-ray.
