The similar Grotesque? Oh dear... I absolutely hated that one, so the comparison makes me second-guess my purchase. It would take a lot of Shawn Player to compensate for something like that. :D

Watched my Bad Moon Blu from Shout the other day. Listened to a little of the Director/Michael Pare/John Fallon commentary.

First off I like the film. I seen it in the theaters when it came out. This was only my second viewing. So I basically forgot most of the films details, only remembered the basics. Surprisingly I still enjoyed it a lot. It held up imo. Back when viewed in the theaters I wasn't so much analyzing "acting" in my younger days. Now, thought Michael Pare did a really good job here. Sure he does a lot/mostly "B" films, but Imho, he's a pretty good actor. Would love to see Eric Red do a sequel, I know Michael would be on board.

My gripe. First, who the holy hell is John Fallon and why was this annoying douche on this commentary? Irritating beyond belief. Second, what did they use two tin cans and a string to record the audio? Come on Shout. :(

I always liked the poster for Bad Moon. The only time I've seen it was when it played in the theater back at the end of 96.

Terror Within Blu is sold out.

I must have gotten one of the last ones because I ordered that and Twice Dead less than an hour ago.

Fallon created the website Arrow in the Head and has worked on some projects with Red. The quality likely isn't great because the track was created for the website back five or six years ago and not made for Scream Factory. I like that if a podcast commentary or something like that already exists they include it in their release, but it does mean the quality of the chat and the technical side of things might be lower.

Wow, is it? I ordered both Blu's the 2nd day it went on sale. In the back of my mind I said, these will be here for a while, why am I rushing? Ha.

Was this the first time Terror Within part 1 was released on Blu?

Just looked: Says Twice Dead is SOLD OUT too.

Ha, same thing went through my mind, but I didn’t realize there was only 1000 units of each initially. That’s what made me pull the trigger, but after like 3 days of “it’s almost sold out” updates. I was actually just about to post “for an almost sold out item it’s certainly taking it’s sweet time” - insert foot in mouth narrowly averted when I checked a little later after making my order.

I still have The Evil/Twice Dead double Bill DVD sealed and already grabbed The Evil Blu so I figured I might as well come full circle. I’ll sell the DVD. Never seen Twice Dead, but the trailers seem to entice me enough.

As for Terror Within, I don’t recall being too enthralled first time viewed way back when. However, I gave it another light spin the other night off YouTube and found a little more respect for it. It’s like Humanoids in an Alien setting - ha, that Corman guy.

I always liked Terror Within. It's a pretty decent Alien type flick. Also, back in the 80's , 90's I was on a Andrew Stevens kick. So it fit the bill there. He was in a lot of films and straight to video releases then. I like familiarity and you get comfortable with actors/actresses. Pick up a VHS and , hey that guy/gal is in it, they're good. Ok, Ill give it a shot sorta thing.
