They make no mention of a new HD master for King Kong 76 the way they do for He Knows You're Alone, Eyes of a Stranger and The Hand (the three of which I'm much more excited about) nor do they mention the source for the TV cut. Until they say otherwise, I'd assume they're using the older StudioCanal master, from over a decade ago, for the theatrical cut and either an SD master for the TV cut or an HD/SD composite.
Great announcements Shout Factory, I'm definetly in for all 4 releases especially The Hand since my dvd rotted out years ago and would like to revisit that film. Now where the hell is The Dead Zone?
Eyes of a Stranger is exciting. But The Hand was my least favorite of the old Twisted Terror dvd set. I'll be much more excited when somebody announces Deadly Friend or Dr. Giggles.
Picked up the dvd of Sputnik at Walmart for 12.96 no bluray it does also have a English dub audio track. Also got Freaky as well.

Shit, I already bought a bunch of Shout titles at the Target sale, and for more. But I think with the B2G1 it evens out.
I'm excited about Eyes of a Stranger and He Knows You're Alone - those are two of the biggest slashers left to check off the list. I saw the De Laurentiis King Kong as a kid and remember very little. I did find a clip on YouTube of a surprisingly fake-looking snake - surprising in that with that budget, they should have had a better giant snake. I remember disliking The Hand, finding it bleak but unexciting. But all four announcements I would say are fairly major.
Mother fuck. I just pulled the trigger on several of these...at considerably more than these prices. Oh well.
I saw on Bloody-Disgusting I believe that they tried all they could to get that Event Horizon Director's Cut. But it's not happening.
Was it at the Target B2G1 sale? Because I did the same. But I ran the numbers, and my Shout titles at Target averaged out to around $18 each, and the ones listed on the Shout site that I want were around $17.49. So I paid 50 cents more. Big whoop. AND, they all arrived yesterday. I don't think Shout can match that kind of turnaround.
^ Speaking of Target B2G1, they added the new Scream Factory pre-orders yesterday and they were eligible. Good deal! Ordered: King Kong He Knows You're Alone Eyes Of A Stranger The Hand Explorers Wildcats

I'm assuming the deleted scenes included in Event Horizon are of poor quality, otherwise why didn't they try and make a DC with them? It's a shame this may never materialize.
I assume the Deleted Scenes are the same ones from the previous blu-ray. There's only three of them and they don't make up the long rumored "director's cut".
