Death Race 2000 Blu Ray will be off the chain!
Reviews for Rock N Roll High School and Suburbia are up!:
Glad to know these are a reality!
"Fango got an update from Shout! Factory on its schedule for the horror films in its Roger Corman’s Cult Classics disc line this year. The fright features follow ROCK ’N’ ROLL HIGH SCHOOL, arriving May 4 on DVD and May 11 on Blu-ray, and DEATH RACE 2000, coming June 22 in both formats.
The biggest news is that THE SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE COLLECTION, packing all three of the driller-killer flicks and copious special features onto a two-disc set, has been given a street date of October 5. Supplement director Jason Paul Collum gave us a preview of what he’s working on for the package on our old newsblog here.
The same day will see the release of a double feature of THE EVIL and TWICE DEAD; however, ATTACK OF THE CRAB MONSTERS/NOT OF THIS EARTH (1957) and UP FROM THE DEPTHS/DEMON OF PARADISE, previously set for July 20 and August 3 respectively, are now undated. The 1987 NOT OF THIS EARTH, with Traci Lords, and TIME WALKER/DEAD SPACE have been shifted from September 28 to November 2. Still set for July 20 are GALAXY OF TERROR and FORBIDDEN WORLD, the latter of which will be a two-DVD set with both the theatrical and director’s cuts; look for more details on these soon."
I also heard Shout factory will be releasing GALAXY OF TERROR and FORBIDDEN WORLD on Blu Ray on the same day as the DVD. Which is pretty cool...although if Shout's gonna release Galaxy of Terror on Blu, then I think Humanoids from the Deep deserves it too. Hopefully there will be a high demand for that as well.
What a lineup!! Totally psyched for all of them (wish there were more blu-rays, but oh well). Twice Dead, lol, now there's a cheesy, late 80's nugget of gold! I just watched the old Laserdisc last week "dancing in the dark...in the dark...in the dark"
THE EVIL? The 1978 Richard Crenna flick?
Didn't even notice Twice Dead in there the first time I read it. I am definitely looking forward to that and the Slumber Party Massacre collection.
I'd love to see both of these releases on blu-ray. I doubt Twice Dead would make the cut, but Slumber Party Massacre has quite a following.
I got screwed over with The Stepfather when Shout Factory decided to release the blu-ray a few months after the DVD. I will probably be hesitant to pick up the SPM Collection right away if they release it on DVD only.
The wait for the piranha Blu-Ray is killing me, August now isn't it
I'm salivating over all these releases!
Yes,I was wondering about that myself, anybody know if it's the same film ?
I think we already knew SPM was coming, but it sure is nice to get confirmation. I don’t care if they stagger the release so I end up double-dipping on the Blu. I’m so thrilled Shout Factory is releasing an anamorphic transfer with new special features that I’m happy to give them my money.
Man, what happened to the Humanoids from the Deep release?
I know - the lack of aquatic horror releases has me worried.

It's been confirmed by Shout Factory that Galaxy of Terror and Forbidden World are coming to Blu-ray also?
It seems a bit strange that the DVD's are up for pre-order, but the Blu-rays aren't yet...if they come out on the same day that is.
Cliff Mac (from Shout Factory) just announced that due to popular request, both Galaxy of Terror and Forbidden World will be released on Blu-ray after all. Same date as the DVDs.
I'm confused , is the slumber party massacre trilogy going to be on two discs, or is each film being given the double disc treatment?
Is there any cover art for these yet?
I think all the movies will span two dvds.It worries me,how will the special features fit?
