I’ve never seen any of them but I’m extremely tempted to pick up this set. How are the films?

1 & 2 are great. I also think 3 is extremely fun, but a lot of people seem to disagree. 4 is a pretty tough sit though.

The featurettes on the first two movies run over an hour each, so lots of extras too.

Nice, so the set is worth it for just the first 2 films alone? They look like they have a very ‘Gremlins’ vibe.

    I’m into that.

Yeah part 4 is pretty bad. That is the one in the set everyone will watch once just to see it. From there, it will be the first 3 for repeat viewing.

Definitely worth it for the first two movies alone. I'd say 3 as well. As far as value (extras, packaging, etc), I'd say it's pretty comparable to Arrow's UK House boxset.

I forgot to add what x666x mentioned, the replay value. They're under 90 minutes and highly rewatchable (except Critters 4, of course).

    This.

First 2 Crits are fucking awesome. Definitely worth the set for those 2 flicks alone. I'm personally waiting for the price to drop, though.

They have these for $25 at FYE right now. I passed on the original Scream Factory offer.

I got the Angela Night Of The Demons figure, but I'm a little scared to venture too far down this collector's rabbit hole.

I hear that. But I don't consider myself a collector..... this Billy figure had to be mine. It's hysterical and looks badass on display. Pull the trigger this year! LOL

I definitely do not consider myself a collector either. Like Natas said, this figure is so cool I too had to have it. It’s pure legend status

They have it in-store. I keep going in there because I'm tempted by the Friday The 13th Part 2 Jason figure. It's still $30, but I keep checking in case it goes on clearance like the Freddy ones.

Random! So is it like some trade in used thing, although perhaps never opened, or did FYE have some deal with Shout!?

I’ve seen the Jason and part 3 as well you’re referring too - very cool indeed. This is that slippery slope you were :D

No, they're new. I've been to two stores and they both had 4 or 5 each. Same figure, NECA, but I think the packaging might be different. It's in plastic, and I think Scream's came in a box.

Yes, Shout!'s came in a box with a little storage room background. But still cool you can get it if you want!

They’re not even remotely in the same league as Gremlins. I somewhat have nostalgia for the first one having seen it in the theater when I was 13, but other than that I don’t think it’s really that good of a film, and the sequels are even worse. But if you’re into cheesy teen horror of the 80s then go for it.

    FINALLY!

    **NEW TITLE ANNOUNCEMENT**

The 1993 “Cujo meets Terminator” horror/sci-fi hybrid MAN’S BEST FRIEND barks its way to Blu-ray for the first time on March 12th! Ally Sheedy (St.Elmo's Fire, The Breakfast Club) and Lance Henriksen (Pumpkinhead, Aliens) star.

When an ambitious news journalist (Sheedy) breaks into a genetic research facility, she uncovers the biggest story of her career and unleashes the lab's most dangerous experiment: Max – a genetically enhanced guard dog with a vicious killer instinct. Superior sight, hearing, strength, and intelligence make him faster, stronger, and smarter than almost any other animal alive – and deadlier. Without the neuropathic drugs needed to curb his aggressive nature, his predatory urge runs out of control ... and once he tastes blood, nothing can stop him.

Extras are in progress and will be announced on a later date.

Artwork you see is the original theatrical poster design. The reverse cover will have the art that most remember from the prior DVD and VHS releases.

    Pre-order MAN’S BEST FRIEND now @ https://www.shoutfactory.com/product/man-s-best-friend?product_id=7005
