Ah, yeah it does. Tiny text though, so it was easy to miss. ;)

I found the brand new bluray of Straight-Jacket at a Disc Replay yesterday for $5. It must have been priced wrong, since it just came out and is going for over $20 everywhere else. This wasn’t on my radar, but for $5 I figured why not?

^ The New Line DVD was the R-rated version as well, with the additional gore included in the extra features.

Released uncut in UK, so prints available, for me pointless if cut, will stick to uncut DVD, it's really only the gore that makes this worthwhile.

The Swedish release, together with the UK, Australian, Holland and Japan was unrated, both on VHS and DVD, so that's the version I'm used to watching.
Guess I just hold on to my DVD.

Edit: Just read the Facebook post.
We'll just have to wait and see what happens then.

Yep, and that over the top, and hilarious, chase at the end, with the cartoonish mangler :D

Ha ha, yes, amazing how quick it can move for something so big and heavy!

For its flaws it's really quite enjoyable and the gore is so nasty, it's great.

Fingers crossed they can obtain the uncut version.

For me, this has got to be my top favorite news of a blu ray release this year. What even better is the price. Pretty rare to see an initial price release by Shout set at $19. This is how they ALL should be imho.

Murder by Death is a great movie. Anybody that hasn't seen it yet is missing out. FYI it's not a horror movie. It's a fun mystery where the greatest detectives around the world are called to a mansion to solve a murder that hasn't happened yet. Lot's of crazy characters and scenarios.
Like a blind butler training a new helper ... a deaf and mute maid.

"Shut up, all of ya's. Nobody move! I have to go to the can again. I don't wanna miss nothing"

Clue (1985) may be more popular, but I always thought that Murder by Death is the better movie of the two. I especially love Peter Falk and Peter Sellers in this one. I've had the old DVD release for a long time. This was overdue for an upgrade. Great news!

Agree 100%! Even though I loved the board game Clue as a kid the movie never did much for me. Pretty sure it was because I'd already seen Murder By Death dozens of times by the time Clue came out. Would be amazing if Shout could track down the extra scenes included in the TV broadcast.

I think I'll stick with the non toy edition.

When I saw The Mangler, it was from a video store that actually carried both versions; the R-rated and unrated. I wished I had rented the R version, because that would mean it was shorter and I would have wasted less time out of my life watching it. Sorry, but that's a bad movie.

I thought it was pretty terrible myself as well. I seem to also remember feeling like it was overly long and just dragged at times with some interesting bits here and there. Definitely not one I care about.
