I never grew up on the Transformers cartoon and had never seen the movie. Tries to watch it twice and can't get very far in before I loose interest. I'm assuming this is more of a nostalgic film for people.
The music's really weird too with upbeat pop/rock music playing basically all the time and during scenes it probably shouldn't have been. A fight between Megatron and Optimus Prime for example looked as though it was meant to be this big serious fight scene but the music playing during it felt so very wrong.
    That's my 2 cents anyway.

Out of the 5 limited run (1000 copies) Shout titles.

Deathstalker I/II is almost sold out. Shout says as of today there's 35 copies left. The other 4 films have zero indication on whats left. I guess Deathstalker was the winner out of the bunch. That's probably why they recently held a "survey" on some future titles.

So if you were waiting to pull the trigger on Deathstalker, act fast.

I haven't received a shipment notice, but there is a USPS shipment by Priority Mail from Louisville, KY that shipped earlier... so I would assume that's it. It's the same origination that Deathstalker was shipped from last month.

Gotta love that My USPS thing, it lets you know of any tracked shipments headed your way! :p

Since Elvis died in 1977 and Black Christmas was released in 1974 that doesn't make too many viewings.

Just noticed that The Fog and Terror Train are selling for $12.99 on Amazon currently. That is the best retail price I can remember seeing for these Shout titles.

I've heard it somewhere before that Priscilla and Lisa Marie love it and watch it every year around Christmas. I've never heard the Elvis thing before...

My younger brother was a huge fan of the cartoon for awhile. He rented it (the 1986? movie) and I sat in on as much as I could... but I do believe I bailed hard before the 1-hour marker. The plot involves so much death. I've seen kids' / family movies that involve themes of war, but this one is so friggin' just toss everyone right into the fucking fire. It was like animated Ausch... err, it was like Pink Floyd: The Wall for kids!

The result, along with the Pizza the Hut character in Mel Brooks' Spaceballs, I think just might be the reason I grew to honestly hate science fiction as a kid.

I couldn't even watch Star Wars after that, it made me want to puke.
