I highly recommend reading The Friedkin Connection: A Memoir, William Friedkin's autobiography. That's only one of the many crazy stories and backstories behind his work. And also check out Marc Maron's WFT podcast episode with Friedkin, where that story is also told.

Sounds really good. I love Billy Friendkin. I have an older biography of his. Can't think of the title at the moment. I found it in a bargain bookstore for $3.

I think Friedkin mentioned that on the commentary for Cruising...or maybe it was on the new BD of The Exorcist? Somewhere. I think he plays a paramedic or a doctor or something...

I also like the design of their newer releases more. It's a small gripe but I always hated those blue "blu-ray" banners across the top of the slipcovers. It looks so much better when it just says "Collector's Edition". Then again I also hate the color of blu-ray cases, I think the blue just looks tacky after a while.

That being said, lol the standard blue blu-ray case looks particularly good on this release. It works well with Jaws too. Otherwise I wish companies would use clear cases more.

    ***POLL-TIME.***

We have existing rights for some rather obscure Scream Factory-appropriate titles that we are discussing releasing to the Blu-ray format for the first time in 2017 and we’d love your input! You can take the survey @ https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CGDYT8F

We want to make our decision based on which ones have the most excitement and sales potential attached to them…so that’s where you factor in. :) The five top winners will be announced in the future after the...y are scheduled.

One entry please. Poll will end tomorrow AM.

    Titles include:

    1. Alienator (1990)
    2. Angry Red Planet, The (1959)
    3. Arena (1989)
    4. Bat People, The (1974)
    5. Contamination 7 (AKA: The Crawlers) (1993)
    6. Four Skulls of Jonathan Drake, The (1959)
    7. I Bury the Living (1958)
    8. Invasion of the Bee Girls (1973)
    9. Man From Planet X, The (1951)
    10. Naked Cage, The (1986)
    11. Screaming Skull, The (1958)
    12. Vagrant, The (1992)
    13. Vampire, The (1957)
    14. Vicious Lips (1986)
    15. What's the Matter With Helen (1971)

You are welcome to leave comments in the Facebook thread of course, but the votes will be tallied off the actual survey page.

Thanks and hope your favorites make the cut!

I'm not a huge fan of any of the films so I'm content with MGM's Midnite Movies releases. But Bee Girls might be worth it if they can find the uncensored cut.

Of those films, I've seen Arena, Contamination 7, Bee Girls, and The Vagrant.

I don't like any of them enough to upgrade to a blu ray. Especially if it's as expensive as Scream's last group of exclusive releases. So I'll sit this poll out. Although I do appreciate their interest in getting their customers' input.

I took the survey but the only title I would really like to see hit blu-ray is Invasion of the Bee Girls.

    HOLY SHIT.

This might be my favorite horror movie of all time. I've seen this on VHS, laserdisc, DVD and FINALLY remastered. Wow those caps look fantastic. I've never see this movie look so good.

MGM had said the original negative was badly damaged. Looks like Shout really put some work into this. I cannot wait to get it. I'm more excited for this than I am for The Thing.
