Our pre-Halloween celebration continues with the reveal that we will be releasing Director Frank LaLoggia’s LADY IN WHITE (1988) to Blu-ray for the first time sometime this Spring!

More specifics (street date, extras, etc.) on this underrated gem will be revealed during the early part of the new year.

Can you guess which one has me smiling? I've been waiting for a proper release so I can upgrade from my AB Limited Edition DVD (not that I'll be getting rid of it). It'll be interesting to see the package that they can put together, I'm rooting for you Shout!

Manhunter, one of my favorites! Hopefully we get both cuts of the film.

Congrats. It warms my heart when a rare fan favorite gets a collector's edition blu-ray like this. If Warner ever sees fit to release Batman The Animated Series, I'll crawl up into the fetal position and weep.

Lukewarm on both. Love Shout/Scream but wonder why so many other obvious titles get ignored. I know they claim "rights issues" but I bet I could figure it out for them. Maybe it's a money thing?

I honestly can't imagine what they could add to the current blu-ray from Fox (which can easily be found for around $5). Unless maybe they found a film source for the deleted workprint scenes? It's loaded with extras and the "It Runs In The Family" retrospective is feature-length. Multiple commentaries as well. The Arrow release added some early films from Hooper, but it was mostly just the same extras. It's doubtful Shout will provide a new transfer either.

I love the film, but unless they find something really special for the extras, this is a pretty unnecessary release.

TCM 2 has an amazingly comprehensive 3 disc UK release available from Arrow. I don't know that there's anything that could improve on that edition. I think a collector's edition of Manhunter with multiple cuts of the film is a more exciting Halloween announcement.

Isn't the Arrow TCM 2 set OOP though?

Edit: Scratch that, Amazon.uk has it, but won't ship it to the U.S. for some reason.

I will definitely pass on this pointless re-release of TCM 2.

Looking forward to this double feature though as I love The Dunwich Horror:

"More great news for AIP horror fans! On this Halloween eve, Scream Factory has announced a double feature Blu-ray of Gordon Hessler’s MURDERS IN THE RUE MORGUE (1971) and Daniel Haller’s THE DUNWICH HORROR (1970), due out sometime in the Spring of 2016!"

They should do Leatherface: TCM 3 instead of another issue of part 2 which is already very good and pretty thorough.

Just order it from Arrow direct. I did during one of their sales and it was under $15. That being said I'll probably still get the Sceram edition as I love the Texas Chainsaw movies.:D

I'm sure they'll probably ship it just fine though. It has said the same thing on a bunch of 88 Films titles for ages now, and you can pre-order those and get them shipped to the U.S. without a hitch.

Pretty sure this scream factory TCM 2 blu will be the old MGM transfer. Hopefully the extras will make it a worthy purchase but I doubt it. The 3 disc ARROW release will be very difficult to beat.

I really like the transfer on the MGM Blu for Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. It's a beautifully grainy, film-like presentation and I'm not sure a new scan would improve on it very much. Probably the only thing Scream Factory can improve is replacing the awful Saw-inspired cover art with the iconic "Breakfast Club" poster, so yeah obviously no real incentive to upgrade this one.

Scream has done a great job of listening to fans and bringing so many heavily-requested movies to the format, and while they still have some interesting titles in the pipeline the recent announcements have been a bit underwhelming. Hopefully they're just waiting for the ink to dry on some new licensing deals.

Yep. They've already confirmed the "breakfast club" art for the reverse!

The only new thing they could add to this release is if they can get the rights to William Hooper's All American Massacre - which would round out the set nicely. Arrow couldn't get it because of rights issues, but maybe Scream's contacts with MGM is the US may make the likelihood a little better.
