Fuck, I thought we were talking about Sleepaway Camp 3. Whoops!

But based on that^, it doesn't look like it has much of a chance of being released uncut either.

Very happy about The Sentinel. :) Always loved this film! I never bought the German Blu-ray, but am sure to pick up this Shout Factory release.

Still going to keep my pre-order of Ghoulies. I don't even have a cover for my DVD edition.

Am I the only one who would love Shout to do a Collector's edition of Troll?

I like an edition with Troll, Troll 2 and the Best Worst Movie doc. I can't really justify spending $13 or more on Troll 2 alone, so a set would be most welcome.

I have my Ghoulies 1&2 dvd that rarely gets watched so I'm going to stick with that. Had Scream put in a little more effort and edited those scenes back into part 2 I may have been curious enough to re-buy. Scream should just stay away from these genre films if they don't plan on putting in the extra effort for the fans like Arrow, 88Films and Synapse would likely do.

A Troll collection would be boss.

Since MGM told them they couldn't edit the scenes back there's little we can do.

I guess I should be glad they put the scenes on the disc.

Yea I'd like a Troll set if the price was right. I always thought the first Troll had some pretty awesome practical effects. I'm surprised it was skipped over in favor of a sand alone Troll 2 release.

Why would MGM say and enforce that? It Sounds a little weird to me.

Troll 2 received a Blu release first because it's a much more popular film.

Shout actually never really cared, just too few people knew at the start.

It still made little sense to release it barebones.

Just finished watching the Class Of 1984 blu-ray. Looked great to me. A lot of the reviews I've seen mention specks and print damage, but I thought they were extremely sparse and hardly obtrusive.

As for the extras, the highlight here is the Perry King interview where he covers his entire career from his debut in The Possession Of Joel Delaney through Riptide in the mid '80s. Only a couple minutes are given to Class, but he's a very engaging speaker and has tons of great stories to tell. The only movie from this time period I wish he had touched upon but didn't is The Killing Hour, but minor complaint given that he covers about eight of his films here, including Lipstick, Mandingo, and Lord's Of Flatbush.

If you're looking for a more Class Of 1984 centric extra though, the highlight here remains the "Blood And Blackboards" featurette (or "Blood And Backboards" as flubbed on the menu) that is carried over from the Anchor Bay release. Definitely gives you the most information about the film in a slim amount of time. I also enjoyed "The Girls Next Door" featurette. There are a couple brief audio drop-outs in the Erin Noble interview, but you don't really miss anything she's saying.

Good for a laugh to see puppets so desperate to support this label no matter what on FB. Trotting out the old "Start your own label and see how easy it is" excuse. Lmao, the other companies are doing just fine. It's Shit Factory that's the odd one out.

If any other cult label, they would have fought to have an fully uncut version of the movie.
MGM have edited back a lot of uncut footage in their catalogue (The Burning and Scarecrows), so why would they have any problems with this one?
    Oh well...

Any "other" cult label has not done deals with MGM in America, besides maybe Kino (as I dont consider Twilight time or olive to be cult) , and if MGM says you can't, you can't, and that's the way it will be for anyone who does a deal with them. They told us no on the TV cut of NEEDFUL THINGS since its also owned by another studio, so that was the way it is going to be. So if they said no on GHOULIES 2 for the North America release, that's how it will be.

Yeah - I don't need these. If it had been all four at a decent price, maybe. Still waiting on someone, anyone to do all four Critters films.

you'd think that with all the financial troubles MGM has been in the last few years that they'd be a little bit more flexible...

It may not be up to MGM. Contractually, the rights to certain cuts may already be licensed elsewhere or not be available anymore.

The "MGM say's we can't" is actually a lie from Shout, or it was for The Horror Show.
