Up From the Depths will be released as a double feature with it's remake, Demon of Paradise: http://www.amazon.com/Depths-Demon-...ef=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1261177896&sr=1-4 They'll also be re-releasing Piranha (also on Blu-Ray) and Humanoids From the Deep, and Carpenter's Elvis on March 2nd.
Glad the Corman catalog is coming back in print, but I already own those. Very much looking forward to Carpenter's Elvis!
Awesome! I knew the original Pirahna would get a SE DVD release! Keep up the good work Shout! Factory!
Man there are dozens of Corman movies, now out of print, I'd love to get my hands on. Why Disney bought the catalog, only to license it out is beyond me. But then I never expected them to distribute any of it themselves.
This was the first relevant thread I saw for the topic so I don't know if it was already posted, but here's news from DVDdrive-in.com. Humanoids in anamorphic?! Shout! Factory Preps "Roger Corman's Cult Classics"! In April, Shout! Factory will commence a new series of DVD releases under the banner, “Roger Corman’s Cult Classics”, presenting classic titles from the New World Pictures film library. The first of these releases will be Barbara Peters' HUMANOIDS FROM THE DEEP (April 13), a two-disc special edition of Joe Dante’s PIRANHA (April 6) and a double feature of UP FROM THE DEPTHS/DEMON OF PARADISE (April 13). All titles will be presented with new anamorphic transfers, and PIRANHA will also be available on Blu-ray disc. We’ll post more details as they come in, but 2010 looks to be a great year for Shout! Factory.
Great news on Up From the Depths. Also interested in the Piranha Blu-Ray release as long as the quality is good.
Great news! Up From The Depths & Demon of Paradise! Best double feature release since Mausoleum / Blood Song
Yeah, but even though Mausoleum is missing a few seconds I still love that double feature. I always watch the whole thing. Lots of fun
Hope Humanoids will be uncut just a question heard the slumber party massacre series were getting Se versions...could this be from Shout Factory? I can't find where i read it
Great news. I wish the Up from the Depths beast was even a fraction as cool looking in the movie as he is on the poster...but I will still be picking this up.
Maybe we'll finally see a DVD release of Confessions of a Serial Killer (1985), which was announced by New Concorde right before they went under.
Perfect! I've wanted Up From The Depths for the past year, so I will get it & Demon of Paradise when it comes. Birthday present? Yay!
Hell yeah, I'd love to see that! And the R2 DVD release doesn't even count, since it's cut and censored beyond belief.
