I'd have to be in the minority that really doesn't like Dawn much at all. I think Day is a better film, especially effects wise. I'm curious to see how Umbrella's release of that turns out.

Deep Discount just cancelled my order ($16.48 + tax and s/h) and seems to have pulled the Next of Kin Blu-Ray listing from their site, altogether. It looks like all the remaining options are going to be quite a bit more expensive. Umbrella did get Attack Force Z distributed in the US through MVD, so I suspect that's probably what will happen with Next of Kin, as well.

I actually prefer Day over Dawn as well. I used to quote dialog from the film with my friends whereas I couldn't tell you any dialog from Dawn. It is also a faster paced film to me.

They cancelled my pre-order for Next of Kin yesterday also. Sucks if that's going to be the case from now on, because you get get Umbrella releases through DD quite cheap (especially on one of the 15% off sales).

:) This should be a nice upgrade. Umbrella's DVD release from 2015 had a full frame transfer from an old video master. The new bonus features also sound appetizing.

DD has a 15% sale going on which ends today. If used on Umbrella, people can pick up some titles for $15

They have Apt Pupil, which the Image version is oop I think.

Unfortunately they now appear to be charging state sales tax in almost all states.

Missouri is thankfully only 4.23%, and at least they aren't also charging county/local taxes like most other places.

Yes, I noticed that. I remember when Amazon changed in my state. Guess they all will be changing soon. You're lucky, mines 6.63 % ... makes ordering from diabolik a real treat. Nothing like paying high sales tax plus $5.00 shipping being about hour away.

Guess that makes my area the big loser. 8.25% sales tax here.

    5 & 6 are already on blu-ray. It's just not a very good one.

Only thing, maybe I would lose the New York Times quote. But that's just me.

That's funny, I hadn't paid attention to that until you pointed it out. It would be better on the back cover. I don't think a praise from NYT is going to lure in any new buyers for a title like Howling III, lol! :D
