Thank God! Took em' long enough but glad they came to their senses and are finally putting this out!

Halloween II would be nice as well, but I'd be more excited about The Frighteners over Child's Play 2...but that would be cool too.

Extras (and what appears to be the cover) has been revealed!:

    http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=4952

"Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced another title from its catalog previously released on the short-lived HD DVD format: The 1990 creature feature Tremors will come out on Blu-ray on November 9 (strange timing for a horror movie, which would benefit from a pre-Halloween street date).

    Special features include:
    The Making of Tremors
    Kevin Bacon Profile
    Michael Gross Profile
    Reba McEntire Profile
    Theatrical Trailers"

Will they remaster Tremors? I've always read that the HDDVD version was not very good.

I don't recall the HD-DVD being particularly bad, but it's been years since I watched it. I'll switch over to Blu for Tremors because it's one of my favorite monster movies ever.

Even at HD-DVDs worst, it would still be far superior to the old, non-anamorphic DVD transfer.

They later reissued the DVD with an anamorphic transfer though, in the Tremors Attack Pack set. It actually looks really nice...as far as DVD transfers go anyways.

  9. Can't wait!

Can't wait for this! I hope they dont end up calling it the graboid special edition or something ridiculous like that.

And a Bacon/Ward commentary track would be pretty fun!

Cool, hopefully Amazon will match it.

I just got through watching the Tremors TV series the other day!

Amazon is at $14.99 for Tremors on blu-ray. You also get $8 off if you buy it with another select Universal blu-ray title. I just ordered Tremors and The Breakfast Club for $25.48.

The sale also includes Psycho and the Back To The Future trilogy!

I watched TREMORS on VHS when it was first released from a recommendation by a customer in the video store I worked at. He was a really entertaining character in person and he also created a really fun comic in our college (in Nevada :) ) newspaper called "Doc Splatter". He has a website now called "Cool Jerk" and it's really nice to have that link to one of the best times of my life. ANYWAY, "Tremors" was fun but I never saw it again until 2020 when it appeared on Netflix and I enjoyed the heck out of it. The movie holds up fine. It's still fun after these few short years. I look forward to this release!

I watched the latest Tremors last night and man did it suck :( on par with the previous one. The FX were kinda cheap looking and the storyline was so dumb, as well as most of the characters.

Are any of the sequels good in this franchise? I've only ever seen the first.

I thought 2 and 3 were fun enough.

I stopped after 5, as 4 and 5 were pretty bad.

Thanks. Might have to check out 2 & 3 then. I figured if they weren't already all bad that they'd get there at some point lol. There's a fair few of them.

The original writers stayed involved through Part 4 and the one season Sci-Fi Channel TV show. I'd recommend all of those, although the quality does go down with each installment. 5 was made by a different creative team who has stayed on for the remaining sequels. 5 is OK, but was the worst at that point. Then 6 came along and broke the series' streak of not having a bad movie, I really disliked that one. We'll see if 7 is an uptick in quality here in a week or so.
