Another tough one, although not quite as brutal choices to make for me than in the 80's.
    1. Halloween (my favorite movie of all time in any genre)
    2. Phantasm
    3. Texas Chainsaw Massacre
    4. Martin
    5. Last House on the Left
    6. Dawn of the Dead
    7. Zombie
    8. The Exorcist
    9. Damien: Omen 2 (this may have been the 80's, I'm not sure)
    10. Blood of Dracula's Castle (an oddball choice for sure, but I have very fond memories of this one on late night TV from my younger days)

Is it me or has Suspiria, Black Christmas and Deep Red really exploded in popularity since they have been more readily available on DVD over the last 10 years.

    Runners up:
    Halloween
Jaws (mostly because its always felt more like an adventure movie to me, rather than a horror movie - although i'm sure many people would violently disagree)
    Cannibal Holocaust
    Blood For Dracula

    10. Black Christmas
    9. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
    8. Suspiria
    7. The Wicker Man
    6. Dawn of the Dead
    5. Flesh for Frankenstein
    4. Frenzy (thanks Chaoster, for reminding me that this came out in the 70's, proving that Hitch never lost it, right up till the end)
    3. Deep Red
    2. Nosferatu: Phantom der Nacht (German title sounds so much better, IMO)
    1. The Exorcist

I agree. And thanks for doing the stats! I was curious to see the results, but was too lazy to do it myself. You should do it on the other threads as well! :D

    In no particular order:

    Suspiria
    Deep Red
    Halloween
    Dawn of the Dead
    Zombie (Fulci)
    House (aka Hausu)
    Black Christmas
    Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Jaws (I know it's not really considered horror, but it terrified many)
Phantom of the Paradise (again, not really horror, but has been classified as such)
