Sorry if a thread already exists.
    But have you seen this?

The 80:s show had some entertaining episodes, but there really haven’t been a truly great Twilight Zone series, since the original.

At least I hope it’s better than the crap we got in the 2000:s.

I'll watch it. I still haven't finished seeing all of the original episodes. And I thought Get Out didn't leave me anywhere near freaked out enough like those old Twilight Zone episodes.

    I won't bother watching since it's on CBS All-Access.

If you live in Europe, the CBS All Access shows, like the new Star Trek show, are available on Netflix.
I usually torrent TV shows, that are not available on streaming.

Honestly, and this might sound weird, I really hope the episodes are in B&W. Twilight Zone, in any incarnation, in color just doesn't feel right to me.

That, and also set it in the 50:s/60:s, giving that classic spooky/gothic feeling of the original :)

In this "In Production" trailer, we see a shot around 1.09, that seems to be filmed in an 50:s styled diner, so maybe it's set in the past?

And here is a screenshot from that same set.

According to Wiki, the productions wraps in March. So maybe it will air during summer?

I see that Serling's other anthology series NIGHT GALLERY is being rebooted by the SyFy Channel. I'm just about to finish the original shows DVD box set. Nice to see those restored to their original versions rather than the heavily cut/altered versions playing in syndication.

That trailer is really good! I wish they weren't limiting it to their subscription service. Not sure I can justify the cost just for one show.

FYI first ep is free on Amazon. I watched it. Enjoyed it but ...

Saw that ending coming from a mile away. They butterfly effect'd it...

May signup for the 7-day trial to watch episode two and then catch ep three as well.

Man I wish they would allow you to just buy the season on Amazon or something. Pretty sure I did that with one of the seasons of Ash Vs Evil Dead. I think that would be a great way to get around all these streaming services nonsense. There is stuff on the DC service I want to watch too but I'm not going to subscribe to several difference services. However, I wouldn't be opposed to buying Doom Patrol season one for X dollars on Amazon. These services really need to start teaming up - offer addon channels through netflix or something. I realize it's coming full circle to almost becoming a cable service again - packaged 'channels'. I would argue its an improvement if we can build just the channels/shows that we want.

The first episode "The comedian", was okey, but too long. I think it would have worked better at 30-40 minutes.
The second one though "Nightmare at 30.000 Feet" was better paced, and more exciting.
It's not a remake of "20.000 Feet", but there is a couple of homages to that classic episode.

Loved the intro sequence, which was in the same style as the one from the 60:s :)

Watched "The Comedian" last night and thought it was fine, if not incredibly predictable, But it was in spirit of the original show (i.e. a moral conundrum mixed with the supernatural). I'm still looking forward to the rest of the season thought.

Agreed. I was disappointed that Peele went with such an obvious ending; thought for sure that Samir
would turn the twist on its head.
    . But no.

It did LOOK great, however, and the performances were all strong. I will watch episode two.

Episode two.... moderately enjoyable but ...

Don't remake such an iconic episode. I realized they did it for the movie. Twice is enough. Had they call it something else, I would have enjoyed it more. So yeah, I'm dumb and the episode was decent. I'll pretend it has a different name...the same way I pretend that Matrix 2 and 3 don't exist in my world.

After watching the sixth episode, I think I'm done with the show.
The stories are just boring, and lacks any of the magic of the original.
I think it's time to give up trying to reboot Twilight Zone.
Sure the 80:s show had a few good episodes, but even that show was mostly mediocre, and lacked the quality of the original.

Oh well, at least the intro was cool...

Renewed for another season. But yeh, I'm half way through and not impressed. Loved the 80s one, minus season three.

I've only seen the first 2 episodes so far. I haven't felt any rush to watch more. The first ep about the comedian was soooo drawn out. It did not need to be an hour (or 42 minutes without commercials.) Speaking of, I'm not sure why they're forcing them into traditional time frames since it's an online exclusive streaming show. Seems like that would be an advantage of that platform where you could take as much or as little time as needed to tell the story.
