Literally my thought when I heard this had the bloodiest scene ever filmed I'll believe it when I see it.
Ha. The trailer reveals what Jessica was talking about most blood ever in a scene. Errr... its a room filled with blood. Whoopee do! It's probably the scene where it comes up from the sink, and then fills the room. Very shocking and scary.
Looks good enough for a theater visit. Bill Hader? Huge fan of his, can't recall seeing him in anything other than a comedy though.
The nude old lady made me laugh, which isn't good. The rest looks pretty cool though. I really liked the original, so I'm on board for this one.
Trailer was awesome. Can't wait for this. I loved the first and can't imagine this one being any different. That scene at the start was super creepy. The blank stare, the peeking into the room from the dark; gave me tingles.
I just saw that It Chapter 2 is nearly 3 hours long. I am really looking forward to this, but damn that is really long!
Yeah my friend went to a screening last night and said they easily could have trimmed 20-30 minutes. He said it was really good but not as good as the first and that Bill Hader steals the movie. That’s all I’d let him tell me.
Yeah, that running time is exhausting. Almost makes me want to wait for disc. Fortunately, the last few theatrical movies I've seen have been 90 minuters (The Peanut Butter Falcon, Good Boys, Ready Or Not, 47 Meters Down: Uncaged, etc). I probably won't go again until It: Chapter 2 to give myself a break.
As long as the story and characters have me invested then I don't care so much about the long runtime. I'm hoping they really nail this chapter. I enjoyed the first a lot but it seems early screenings have been more mixed on this one. That being said I've always enjoyed the adult part of IT where I hear a lot of others only like the kids section. Maybe that stands true for this new one too. Not long now at least
Well I've got my tickets booked for tonight! Fingers crossed this is just as pleasing as part 1. I'll soon find out
I'm gonna try to see it Friday night if the hurricane doesn't hit us to heavily. Best wishes to anyone in the path of the storm !
Well I enjoyed it. There's definitely enough Ghoulish creepyness to make the movie feel like it's moving quick enough for its long runtime. I found myself smiling through most of it lol. All the actors did a great job. I will say I agree with some early reviews saying they didn't feel quite as fleshed out as they could have. I think the mini series did this a little better. I also think the mini series is more emotional. Spoiler: Some spoilers So the ending here they decided to just make Pennywise a spider hybrid, so he looks like a large pennywise with spider legs. It looked good but I was a little disappointed we didn't get to see his true form. I'm guessing this might be because the ritual of CHUD didn't work but I'm not super familiar with the book. All that being said I still had a great time. I know some people have theorised Pennywise might be back for another film if this does well but I'd be very surprised if they made an off book sequel, as cool as the idea may be. Personally I think if you liked the first film then there should be no reason you won't enjoy this one. There's lots of flashbacks to the kids so it feels more like the book and mini series in that sense too. Curious to hear what you guys think.
