I love this movie. Despite the painful cost of entry, I broke down and pre-ordered over the weekend.

I'm hoping Amazon drops it to $19.99 right before it ships as they did with "The Royal Tenenbaums." That said, I still don't mind paying the $27.99 as this film is finally going to receive the treatment it deserves.

Caught a bit of this on cable HD (in scope and everything) the other day. Then I remembered it was coming out soon on blu so I clicked away, but what I saw was looking sweet, and I'm sure Criterion will look even better than the cable master.

Its a movie I watch at least once a year. I owned every laserdisc variation (Criterion, DTS, DD5.1) at one point and now own the HD DVD. Even so I will definitely get this.

Me too, I think Michael Douglas is as close to perfection casting for a character that is always entertainting, but because it's within this concept of the game, the concept of the game would of made a great film anyway, but add Sean Penn and Michael Douglas in performances, and a great soundtrack, director fincher, you have something you'll remember the first time you saw the film, as much as the first time they played the game, you keep going back, wanting to forget how it all happened, but then wanna marvel how it's all done again.

Black Rain and The Game, two of my favorite michael douglas performances with two of my favorite directors and composers!

It would wanna be good to justify that price. But it is a great movie and my favourite MD movie next to Falling Down.

With Amazon you take the good, you take the bad with them they're good on some stuff, ridiculous on others like this one. I love the game, it's a great film but I'll be waiting on this on until the price goes down.
