Gary seems a little rough when it comes to video quality grading on both movies me thinks. As far as I can tell from the screen grabs it looks awesome. Can't wait!

He usually is. He's also usually dismissive of genre movies as a whole -- if it ain't Criterion, it ain't no good! The site's only real worth is screencaps -- and I agree these look great! Next week is going to be a good one.

Got my Town that Dreaded Sundown and Burning today from DDD.

Can others confirm that their Town did not come with a slipcover?

The Town that Dreaded Sundown and The Burning are probably my favorite releases from Scream Factory so far. It's still hard to believe that The Town that Dreaded Sundown actually got a decent release. I was beginning to think I'd be stuck with a shitty VHS forever.

Watched Town last night - so awesome. Very pleased with the overall quality. Yeah, there's some white specs here and there mainly in the dark scenes, but who's complaining? The Phantom Killer is such a creepy mother fucker - love it.

Agreed. I watched Town last night for the first time in a long time and this has definitely found a spot in my top ten. Yeah, the cop hijinks did have their goofy moments which made the film a little disjointed, but when The Phantom Killer is on screen, not many films captured creepy quite like this one. Such a great flick.
