Very curious about this one and glad to see Gunn return to his weird, violent roots.

This movie is pretty fun. Worth a streaming at least. Little bit if a Battle Royale kind of vibe but not at the same time.

Can't wait to see this on Saturday!

Anyone else planning on hitting the theater this weekend?

Much to my surprise, this is hitting the theaters near me. I've gone to the theater each of the last 3 weekends, might as well keep the streak going! Definitely going to try and catch this, maybe an 11am Sunday matinee.

I will go if it comes to any theaters near me. Been wanting to see this for awhile now.

Man, what a bummer this thing was. I keep seeing the words fun and hilarious being used to describe it, but I don't remember laughing (and I laugh at everything) and I certainly wouldn't call this fun. I found it overly bleak and way too serious to be very entertaining. And outside of one guy getting whacked with a tape dispenser there weren't even any creative death scenes, mostly just crying people getting shot.

I would only expect so much with Greg McLean directing.

I don't want to discourage you from checking it out, it's gotten more positive reviews than negative (at least from what I've seen), so maybe you'd like it more than me. The whole thing seemed completely pointless to me though. They could've at least made the deaths more interesting to watch if they'd eliminated the guns from the movie. You know how much shit you could kill someone with in an office? Instead it's just countless scenes of people being shot.

Disappointing to hear. John C McGinley swinging around that meatcleaver is a big selling point of the trailer.

Still excited to check it out tomorrow!

This just opened here in San Diego so I'll probably be checking it out this weekend.

There is a bit of meat cleaver action and a doozy of a scene with an axe. Not trying to spoil anything just clearing up that it's not 100% shooting deaths like my last post might've made it seem. I'll be interested to hear what you think of it. I actually didn't hate it despite all the bitching I'm doing here, just way too mean spirited for me.
