i was a big fan of Rocky Horror in high school, and I'm pretty sure that the weirdness of it was exactly the reason why. i watched it quite a bit. in fact, the more i'm thinking about it now, the more i want to rewatch it. it's probably been a decade or more since i've seen it, and i don't own it in any form. perhaps i'll keep an eye out for it. maybe i've just got a strange sense of humour, but i find scenes like the "Rocky!" - "Brad!" - "Janet!" - "Brad!" - "Rocky!" bit pretty hysterical. or when the wheelchair bound doctor joins the chorus line at the end and he's wearing fishnets under the blanket. or when Frank-n-furter seduces Brad using the exact same dialogue exchange as he did with Janet. that stuff always makes me laugh. I don't mean to sidetrack the thread, just wanted to throw a bit of love it's way amongst all this criticism. Also, I've never seen it in a theater. The idea of people singing along or throwing things at the screen or dancing in the aisles sounds horrible. If I went to see it in a theater, I'd want to watch the movie, not see a bunch of people acting like idiots.
