TCM's late-night cult trash

Discussion in 'General' started by Morgue Rapist, May 30, 2010.

  1. Anybody been keeping an eye on what TCM has been serving up lately? Months back I caught (no pun intended) Zaat late at night and noticed that they regularly air B horror late at night.

    Friday, June 4th:

2:15am (ET) The Robot vs. the Aztec Mummy
    3:30am (ET) Dr. Blood's Coffin
    5:15am (ET) Perversion for Profit

I've really been in the mood for this kind of crap lately, just got the Carnival of Blood and The Undertaker and His Pals DVD combo.

This has been going on a couple of years, and yes they are showing some decent fare. Even better, I just got the channel in HD on my provider. It's not true HD yet, but it's nice to not have to zoom in the picture anymore.

Sundance Channel is also having a "Grindhouse" celebration in June, with B-movies playing every night at midnight. Too bad Sundance is still on SD

  3. Thanks for the heads up, wasn't aware. By the way, here's a link to the TCM "Underground" schedule:

In australia TCM is watered down to mainstream classics as a rule. Shame.

I love TCM Underground. I emailed TCM just 2 days ago about getting Joe Bob Briggs to be the host of it, I'd love to see him back on the air.

As enjoyable as it would be, I don't see TCM putting Joe Bob on. That channel is just too "stuffy" for him. Even with the "TCM Underground" movies, they try to play them somewhat seriously. Joe Bob has a tendency to put down the movies (in a loving, and hilarious way), and that's not done on TCM.
