I'm from Long Island and am gearing up for a hurricane. I thought I'd celebrate with some stormy horror flicks (wind and rain, not snow). Let's see how many we can name. I'll start with: The Deadly Spawn The Slayer I Still Know What You Did Last Summer
The Unseen Friday the 13th Friday the 13th - The Final Chapter Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning Happy Birthday to Me Stage Fright '80 Stagefright '87
It does in my book. So does The Silence of the Lambs, but that's a discussion for a different thread.
THE WIND with Meg Foster,CAPE FEAR(straddles the horror and thriller genres).SUSPIRIA opens and closes with storms.
Definitely agree with Storm Warning and Storm of the Century - love both movies. Also, Home for the Holidays and The Old Dark House.
i was thinking of that one, but wasn't sure whether or not to classify it as horror. It's a fantastic movie, and the storm scene at the end is great. absolutely! also The Evil and The Church, and Day of the Animals has a pretty great storm scene where Leslie Nielson goes nuts.
From a similar thread I did not too long ago http://www.horrordigital.com/vb3forum/showthread.php?t=42473 There might be a few not mentioned here yet.
Burning Bright takes place during bad storm, and is a cool little flick that I hadn't heard of and ended up being pleasantly surprised with.
Dolls (1987) – at least during parts of the film. The Fog (1980) Sorority House Massacre II (1990) – constant cheap storm opticals! Stormswept (1995) - crappy, but it has boobies
I was going to say John Carpenter's The Thing until I re-read the OP. Aside from the rest of the films mentioned here, i am drawing a blank!
My bad with the blizzard posting.Just came through a storm of my own.Power was out since last Friday due to Hurricane Irene.Hope all our members on the East Coast came through okay !
