About fucking time.
Enjoyed it when I saw it on Fearnet Comcast On Demand last year. I can deal with Open Matte, I suppose. I'm hoping it's unedited. Seeing the unedited version on Comcast raises my hopes...
I'm torn in half: I have been wanting this forever and am feeling like a dancing banana (i.e. :banana with the news of its release...but the whole cut/fullframe issue is a total bonerkill.
I do not want this. :fuck:
Yesssssssssssssssssss. I have been waiting for Slaughter High to come out on DVD. Now, I can ditch my VHS copy of the movie. Thank you, Lionsgate for putting this out on DVD. Lately Lionsgate is putting out the horror films from the 80s, My Bloody Valentine S.E. If they keep on putting out more Horror films from the 80s on DVD, they will become my new best friend.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe 90 minutes = rated version, 95 minutes = unrated version. If that's correct, it looks like it's the true rated version. I hope not, I have the rated version on VHS. I'll still buy it, but I really want a DVD release of the unrated version.
Another horror film with Caroline Munro is always welcome. Saw this on vhs years ago and would gladly revisit.
One of my favorites!Just hope it's the unrated.I'll buy it anyway and just watch my dvdr.
Who can we contact to get this movie released UNCUT? I can live with full frame if I have to but I really want to movie to be uncut.
Did Slaughter High get a theatrical release? I thought full frame was it's OAR.
Any who... I still have my uncut tape that I sourced for a dvdr so I can keep my tape pristine.
I don't know about the cut version but my VHS unrated is listed at 91 minutes.
Yes, the unrated version is 91 minutes - it was mislabeled on the VHS release as 95 but it was never that long.
I've always wondered if there were R-rated, Unrated, and EVEN MORE UNRATED!!! editions. LOL, Just because, like over 2 years ago, someone supposedly uploaded the uncut version of Slaughter High on youtube, and when I got the black, unrated version on VHS last October, it was, like, showing more. We saw the acid lady's lower half better, and the couple in the elec-bed's scene was very noticably longer. I wonder...
Well there you go. I'd have checked my red box copy but I'm not at home right now to look at it.
My uncut black vestron box says 91 min.
Atleast they used almost the original cover art but if its cut and full frame, this will not be in my collection.Like other people I have a uncut, full frame dvd-r of it and there is no need to own this.If it is indeed FF and cut, shame on Lionsgate for putting out a subpar release of a movie im sure is being released because of the demand that fans want.Lease the rights out LG!!!!!!
Just like in the My Bloody Valentine e-mail campaign, I would e-mail either...
Better yet, send one e-mail and copy it to both with "SLAUGHTER HIGH UNCUT" in the subject line.
I was just about to do the same thing as you Wes. Im starting right now. Just read on shocktillyoudrop that they have confirmation its the R cut of the film.
i still think it is way too early to tell if it will be the rated r version just look at the burning mgm dvd it is rated r and is still the uncut version
I think its all part of a strategy to create buzz about the release, then buzz about it being rated, then buzz about it being unrated, then fullscreen, then widescreen. Hmm maybe not, either way I will buy it.
Slaughter High is cool, but am I the only one excited about My Best Friend Is A Vampire? I love that movie.
